Pleasing Interiors is all about the right proportions of material and textures, balancing the client’s requirements and an effective outlook. Dewali’s Residence has a total carpet area of 1500 sq. ft. which nestled gracefully. When Team Cognize was approached by Mr. Sunil Dewali, COO at Andromeda to transform a new 4-bedroom Apartment in Mumbai into their dream home, they required to have a space that was ‘Soothing & Subtle’. And as per client’s initial brief was that it should be stylish, subtle & and understated luxury but at the same time have its separate functional value.
The Cognize Team shares that the apartment located on the 31st floor of a high rise had cross-ventilated windows in the interior area that streamed abundant natural light & and gusty winds. The view from each area of the apartment revealed a little of the city. The use of premium finishes such as lacquered veneers, fluted glass and panels, Corian tops and panelling, contemporary warm lighting and classic décor make the Home look ‘RAVISHING’.
ENTRANCE
At the entrance, The main door exhibits grandeur in its earthy tone with linear patterns well accentuated with a blue-white console unit. A nameplate bearing the words ‘Dewali’s’ in brass on wood panelling was used near the entrance. A rectilinear planter adds a touch of green to create a serene atmosphere with warm lighting fixtures. The main door opens to a large White Marble fitted flooring and an arc-shaped Feature dining area wall with earthy Archi-concrete texture and wooden louvres.
LIVING AREA
Entering the house, one can see the balancing act of light palettes with solid wood making the apartment look more appealing and live. The living room interior décor creates a first impression as it sets the tone for welcoming with a brilliant continuity in colour palette and materiality. The living room with its plush material of the olive-green sofa, two modern leatherette chairs and a patterned modern white recliner chair anchors the centre table with a contemporary and timeless interior. A spacious living room has a very airy vibe with a large glazing window wall emphasised with a marble cladding element. The TV unit is highlighted with a white panel backdrop and an earthy-tone storage unit. while a modern ceiling design creates drama in the room with a bunch of planters, creating an essence of the cosy and luxurious ambience of the room.
DINING AREA
The Archi concrete texture and wooden curve pattern ceiling create drama in the dining area with the essence of an impressive ambience. The continuation of the ceiling from the entrance to the dining ceiling and wall gives a playful effect with a sense of illusion. The plush material of the dining furniture adds luxury and comfort to the space. The luxury Onyx dining top for the dining, paired with leatherette tufted dual-tone chairs compliments the modern chandelier.
MANDIR AREA
The mandir area is well designed by the designer with an elegant white theme and warm lighting fixtures add charm to the decor. Made in a white storage unit, with grove patterns complemented with white cladding marble. Warm lighting in the mandir and a circular ceiling design with a modern chandelier give it elegance and positivity.
KITCHEN AREA
The modular kitchen is made with matte grey and white cabinets with a soothing combination of Quartz kitchen top & grooves as a highlighter. Overall linearity is created in the kitchen area which makes the space look big and wide. The overhead unit gives it a seamless look and maintains linearity which is also accentuated with a linear lighting fixture on the ceiling.
ECLECTIC BEDROOM
This eclectic bedroom incorporates wood veneer with a subtle light colour palette featuring a soothing and luxurious feel. The master bedroom decor exudes its style and user personality. The wooden wall panelling from the room entrance adds allure to the interior. Linear pattern as a backdrop of the bed headboard gives a minimalistic ambience.
The wooden TV unit and floated console unit reflect the overall charisma of the room with a white background. The L-shaped wooden wardrobe forms a luxurious and creatively breaks the solidity of the wall which also compliments the overall impact of the room. The attached washroom is elegantly ornated with marble and white texture cladding wall that accentuates white sanitary fittings.
CLASSIC BEDROOM
A 3D geometric feature wooden panelling niche behind the bed makes the bedroom simply elegant and presents a striking statement with linear classic accents. While a leatherette headboard with a contemporary bed gives an enduring calmness with selected curtains. Horizontal lines on wooden panelling for the TV unit complemented with a white open shelf. An elegant white ceiling design and artefacts are emphasized in the bedroom interior décor. The attached washroom is gracefully ornated with a dual-tone marble texture cladding wall that accentuates modern sanitary fittings and furniture.
ACCENTED BEDROOM
This bedroom incorporates a subtle colour palette featuring a soothing and luxurious feel with a white touch. The designer creates patterns on the bed’s headboard and panelling, adding an artistic touch to the bedroom décor. To adorn the bedroom décor designer creatively designed an inbuilt wardrobe unit that also exudes good ambiance in the entire room. Wooden bed and side drawers on either side of the bed add to the neutral colour palette while also making the design functional. Selected curtains in different shades add charm to the interior décor of the bedroom.
Combining Aesthetic, Practical, and functional aspects, this apartment becomes a perfect home that represents every space individually but gives a perfect ambience as a whole. Each little addition and accessory in every room and corner of the house is selected to add to the house’s overall artistic, grace, and grandeur, though keeping it simple and subtle yet, significant!
