In the project, pale beige is solely incorporated throughout the house while using various textures and patterns in paint, fabric, and furniture to introduce subtle nuances of softness and volume. The idea of a modest, simplistic aesthetic was the main motif, which eventually led to “The Minimal Abode”
LIVING ROOM – Blissful Beige
Upon entering, the vista opens up and the true power of beige resonates in the mind. The living space and dining area seamlessly blend into each other to create one family space. The tv unit exudes a soft glow echo through the use of cream and brown paint applied on grooves with a patch of marble cladding, which was then enhanced by the various elements across the clan. The flooring adds little drama which created pockets of color and vibrancy, which contrasted sharply with the muted palette.
DINING AREA- Vibrant Vibe
“The fondest memories are made around the table which is an absolute heart of any home.”
A six-seat dining table with a table topped with Italian marble on a wooden frame, while chairs are upholstered in the neutral and bright linear fabric that lends a coquelicot touch to the space.
KITCHEN- Tierra Brown
Initially, the kitchen had a dry space allotted which was later incorporated into the design to make it appear linear, larger, and more spacious. The motive was to create a simple and functional setup with light colors that are well complemented by a service kitchen.
PARENTS BEDROOM – Taupe tone
In this bedroom, taupe is harmoniously combined with a warm white tone and a tint of grey. The focal point of the bedroom is the two-toned bed, which has a brown and ivory fabric headboard that follows the same aesthetic as the bed and nightstand. The back panel features vertical grooves that have a taupe tone, highlighting the panel with metallic stucco texture paint in between. An integrated handle creates a linear pattern on the wardrobe that matches the curtains which creates a cohesive look in the space. The room exudes calmness, a refuge from the hectic pace of life.
MASTER BEDROOM – Sand of time
For the master bedroom, the client wished for a dusky tone of the room as part of their vision. An implication of sand finish was used to accentuate a wall that boasts a remarkable feature of a rectilinear panel that encompasses the overall room. The panel with sand paint finish flows to form a unique and lineal backboard to the bed. The bed is adorned with a leather finish, a coffee brown headboard framed in perfect rectangles which follow the panel to match the continuity of the design.
An initial layout had a huge dry area that was later converted into the master bedroom and dedicated the space for a wardrobe. The sand finish and coffee brown shows up in the finish of the wardrobe and side table. Fusing frosted glass with a brass finish, the light fixture creates a stunning reflection on the wall, creating the illusion of luxury on the wall.
This apartment reflects the beauty of muted shades in every corner and crevice, enhanced by clever colors and design elements to make it very minimal. A place for you to relax, enjoy, laugh, and create countless memories. As the owners intended, this is a celebration of ‘home’.
