Keeping in mind the latest interior trends, colour palette, new materials, and modern light fixtures used with simple ceiling. White elements dominate the interior design and personal space around the shop allows the customer to breathe and enhance his shopping experience.
A retail store designed for casual and semi-formal ethnic wear, a compact space extremely functional and aesthetically pleasing. Each corner and piece of furniture was thoughtfully curated with keeping in mind of its utility for this store in Pune. A modern vintage touch with white being the base shade to make the space look larger with all furnishing elements in floral and pastel shades to make it lively and welcoming.
TKA Designs studio make sure planning was done with keeping in mind of the flow of clients and specific requirements like jewellery, shoes etc. The client wanted special packing and courier spaces for all online orders which were carefully integrated in the design with attention to its area requirements without hampering the ongoing flow of clients.
Channelling the client’s vision as the blueprint for the design, the TKA Designs identified ‘style, timeless, quality, luxe, modernity, authenticity as the core principles of the store that served as the starting point for choosing the focal elements & the material palette for space. “Simple design with striking materials” is the underlying concept through space.
As visitors walk towards Preeti Bora clothing store, the entrance door has a striking contemporary appearance made on white palette framing glass door. The signage board has been designed in white board on which the gold name of the store stands out from distance highlighting the space. As the client manufactures high end, niche, products, it is imperative to design a minimal, yet contemporary store that highlights the products.
The entry-way, one’s eyes are immediately pulled towards the entire display unit was finished on glossy wooden racks with a white background. As they can see samples of products hanging on a golden pipe while the heritage art above the hanger creates an eye-catching appearance. A beautiful white dresser unit which looks more elegant with golden handles with pink knobs. For selective jewellery display, the designer places a glass unit display in the middle of the store with a white-themed base which highlights client’s product easily. The store is compact yet defines its own spaces as one walks around.
An elegant reception cum billing area is placed near a wide window with white curtains. The reception table is well décor with vertical lines and a golden belt, while a vintage chair accentuates the theme of the boutique with a pink touch. And there is a beautiful pink stool and planter to add an eye-soothing décor. Near reception designer used a vintage touch a 3-tier wooden ladder stand cum rack which is the perfectly match for the décor. For sitting, designers used floral and pink upholstery couches for their customers. By eliminating unnecessary additions and focusing on selected furnishings, it creates an aesthetic and modern space that exemplifies simplicity.
The other display unit is designed in the same wooden rack and a L-shaped white table to showcase their product to their customers. In the corner, designer creatively used the space as a changing area where a wall-mounted design in a curved shape with a curtain accentuates the theme of the store. Perfect vintage decor and a long-lasting rail is perfect for the clothes shop changing area. On the other side, a huge mirror with heritage framing work just follows the theme of the shop beautifully. While the flooring with grey textured tiles and a white-themed store creates a good ambience for their visitors.
Lighting is very practical and in tune with the needs of the modern day. The focus lights have been planned accordingly to create the spotlight effect yet without hindering the sight for details in the products displayed. They highlight the product as well as also create the right ambience to experience the journey of the product to the modern world.
The store is a small compact space with ample ceiling height in contrast. It was a challenge to incorporate a sufficient, viable number of products into the space for display and also create an experience of openness and bareness. But TKA Designs creatively used the colour scheme of the space–white with pink accents relay the clean and minimalistic design scheme to look it spacious. The use of gold for hanger, handles and rail adds that extra edge of luxury to the space.
