‘Reva’ Bunglow | Nishil Design Lab | Vadodara
“ Reva ” Bungalow reflects the idea of Indian contemporary style , borrowing inspiration through our Indian culture and its vivid colors. Playing with the textures and amalgamating the wood over furniture is the design detailing to be noticed. Unifying the common walls through shades of white and integrating the elements over art work is a delight to eye sight.
The front façade defines symbolism with the sand gravel texture complementing the hpl louvers. With minimal use of materials and fusions of textures overlaying the louvers creates a harmonious frontage.
Entrance door reflects design elements with geometric metal screen. However geometric pattern flows through the entrance to the flooring pattern in order to unify the space. Straight grooves with moon eclipse art work highlights the monochrome white spaced living area with a tint of contrast. A cozy and harmonious space is developed for a perfect family time. Following the living area is the wall supporting the basin and enlightens the space through mosaic tiles and wooden frames.
As Pooja room is the heart of house, keeping it simple and clean with matt glass backdrop along shades of grey and veneer was the design motive. Following the tranquility with simplicity.
However, the master bed room was designed vibrant with plain ceiling and textured wall accompanying the poster bed. With few art works and a comforting chair along coffee table brings a pleasant environment.
Parents’ bed is refurnished with the distressed finish containing white texture. A 50-year-old bed transformed to a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing bed with back rest of monochromatic geometric figures complementing the cubic white, serving us visual treat.
Kids room contains mixture of vibrant yellow and use of veneer with two single beds. The study space is customized and sleek according to the personal use. Providing the perfect contemporary look to the space. Kids bathroom contains abstract tiles with traditional groves over other walls creating liveliness to the space.
Family sitting over first floor mirrors the idol modern space with customized art work of wood, stone and golden foil hanging over the wall and framing the chairs. Bringing a traditional touch, swing is provided with metal carving.
The main highlight of the entire house is the metal art work along the staircase inspired from S.H Raza’s work. The beautiful patterns generated through the beads along the vertical space complements the staircase and inspires the users to follow the path.
