The Saklecha house | Prachi Designs | Jaipur
The house is located in The Legend Building in Jaipur. This house is primarily designed for the elderly couple. The main task of the project was to preserve the original space of the apartment with large openings and circulation space, as they wanted their house to be very quiet and with less furniture.
A 3000sft home designed by Prachi Dahlan, of Prachi designs, struck with the right balance of style and functionality. A clear brief of the client has been maintained throughout the house. To preserve the light and volume of the room of the apartment, the living room was given the central part of the apartment with no partitions, and the family area is separated from the common area by a jali partition, which helps to preserve the feeling of a common space.
The interior is a mixture of minimalism with classic elements. In the spacious living room, an elegant console adds in the entrance hallway with rustic Laminate, to bring the character an artistic wall light is coming above it. This whole character gives a calmness and adds a homely feeling to the house. Cleverly, the architect has used mirrors behind the jali in the Drawing Area to elongate and illuminate the space.
In the Master bedroom a contemporary TV Unit stands out next to a simple-shaped wardrobe and the traditional legs of it give a bold statement of elegance and royalty. In an ascetic bathroom a classic copper tile complimenting the marble counter and a white cabinet under the sink.
Modernist details can be traced throughout the interior: neutral tones, clean lines, rounding of elements, lampshades in frosted white glass, and golden metal body. Further, in the guest bedroom architect has used the same theme to achieve tranquillity and a minimalistic star pattern behind the bed to break the monotony. An adjoining balcony connects with the outside environment and there is a garden with sitting where morning and evening tea is served.
The solace has been maintained throughout the space with the clever use of furnishing color, wallpaper, wall colors, and of course the plants.
