A delightful secluded house in the lush green locality of Poonoor, Calicut is a beautiful confluence of traditional and contemporary architecture. Functional, practical and glamorous, this 6950 Sq. ft, 5-bedroom abode juxtaposes the material palette to create luxurious comfort both indoors and out. Luxury can look like and mean a lot of different things, but with this luxury house floor plan, we define luxury as living in a constant state of elevated comfort and looking good while doing it.
Careful interventions in terms of planning generate spatial experiences which maximise the views and usability of the garden. Keeping privacy intact, the spatial programming of this luxury abode encourages interaction between family members.
The highlight of ‘Inaayath’ is its spatial layout, which enhances the indoor-outdoor connection. The slightly inclined long veranda that opens up to green landscape on all sides gives an elegant inside-out feel. The patio openings in the dining and living room imbue the atmospheric and experiential quality to the spaces. The linear orientation of bedrooms along the passage away from the semi-private areas ensures the much-needed privacy of the client. The long passage anchors a wooden ceiling and large windows with a harmonious wooden finish complimented by the palette of natural browns and lush green outside.
The project has slopped roof over the flat roof for better insulation. Floor to ceiling windows enriches the soft tone of the interiors, featuring the view to lush green surroundings. The large windows allow the play and control of natural light and ventilation across various spaces.
The material palette includes American Walnut Veneer and Burberry Beige Italian Marble completed with brass accessories. Curated interior décor, potted plants, soft furnishings and concrete textures introduce a vibrancy against the white walls. The abundant use of wood in bedrooms not only brings a traditional touch but exhibits a calm and soothing vibe thanks to the colour scheme used across the space. Restricting the material palette to marble, wood and brass against the backdrop of white walls adds a modern elegance to ‘Inaayath’.
In this abode, right from the entrance, the elements are in earthy colours from the main wooden door with the vertical grooves giving a gist of the interior. In the formal living room, there is a blend of modern and neoclassical interior design styles. The living room is equipped with multiple furniture pieces, each of a different shade and style. Here, the simple T.V. unit and contemporary mid-century modern beige leather sofa are contrasted with a pair of grey mid-century modern accent chairs. The sofa back wall cladded with wooden planks just adds the gist of life and colours to the interior. Here, the centre table in a black marble texture with gold touch finish and hanging accent light in the corner creates the drama and yet matches the monochromatic palette of the interior.
The beautiful array of wooden jaali segments is set behind the accent chairs to separate the dining and formal living room, creating a picture-perfect interior. The design style perfectly depicts the designer’s perspective towards minimalism with functionality and style. The 10-seater dining table is designed with a wooden frame and black marble-finished glossy tabletop tile, paired with off-white and grey leather dining chairs. The dining area, accessorised with two beautiful chandeliers and red modern chair in the corner, is the highlighter of the space. The wooden ceiling design and curtain colour enhance the dining set. Whereas one wall décor with metal clock art while opposite wall with console table and wall art compliments this luxurious space.
As guest come towards home office space cum sitting area has marble cladded on wall highlighted with a shade of gold on a beautiful white console with gold touch, a dark wooden ceiling and a light floor welcoming the people.
The office space interior is modern-contemporary and unique in its own way. There is a beautiful play of wooden-metal with glass screen in the space that opens it in the greens, allowing a generous amount of natural light and air circulation. The colours used in the upholstery of the sofas make the space look vibrant and contrasting. While the center table just enhances the wooden floor with a rug. The 3D flakes white wall décor and a slopped wooden laminated ceiling design with a grove pattern compliment the living area. The lighting in this house is almost theatrical. It was designed to never keep one bored of the same mood. The chandelier creates the drama and yet matches the theme palette of the interior. Beautiful curtains extending from the ceiling give grandeur to the interior.
The kitchen welcomes you with bright lighting. Yet again making it feel theatrical. The kitchen is designed in a C-shaped with a beautiful platform top, white textured tiles on the walls complimenting the furnishes. Brown glossy and grey rustic finished furniture with blended profile handles, giving a classic aesthetic due to its clean lines and the modern interior. Cabinet base is highlighted with brass which make kitchen interior more interesting and unique. While shelves with gold touch-up and brown blind curtains make a royal interior of the kitchen.
The lounge area on first floor has been designed using different materials and bold designs that reflect a strong and unique sense of individuality according to its function. While double heighted ceiling from the ground floor creates an eye-soothing look with amazing pendant lighting set and a sober ceiling design. Due to which it creates an amazing background for TV console unit in lounge area and gives an elegant look to the entire space. Multiple antiques are used and are enlightened by the play of light, making the space look more playful. The designers ensure that it’s going to be the favourite hangout spot of the bungalow with family and friends. The sober ceiling design adds warmness to the space and compliments the furnishings.
In this bedroom, a light grey marble texture is used along with wood to add warmth to the bed back wall with strip lighting. Apart from that, the bed is designed with cream cushions paired with a white side table with gold lines complimenting each other. While a wooden textured floor makes this room royal and warm, it blends the overall design style of the home. The grey leather lounge chair and cream bench with a gold base acts as a cherry on the cake.
In this bedroom, a contemporary interior design style is used with bits of glitter to enhance the natural light and reflect the lifestyle of the user. Lime green wall with a vertical line just accentuating the wooden panel used on bed back wall. The white headboard of the bed and side table in white with a black base enhances the bed furnishings. While the wooden furnishings, the wooden floor makes it eye-catching for visitors with the long curtains. Whereas a planter and hanging accent light compliment the interior décor of this bedroom.
With wooden panelling of solids and a dark brown grid pattern behind the bed, it creates a warm space in this bedroom. A special corner for the study is designed in dark colour furnished with a planter on a gold base that compliments the room interior. Tones of light palette of grey are used for bed headboard design and for arm chair, creating a luxurious look with a selection of curtains. While the wooden ceiling at the entrance of the room makes it more elegant with the furnishes.
In this bedroom, the designer chooses a blend of modern -contemporary interior design styles to meet the client’s requirements. The grove pattern is formed of wooden on the bed back wall with a mirror belt and a velvet headboard makes an elegant decor. While the side tables are designed with the same theme and base warm light of the bed creates an eye-catching appearance for visitors. A brown study table with a glass top justifies the choice of design. While the seating arrangement with a wooden base near the window just compliments the ceiling design of that space.
Principal Designers of Amar Architecture make sure that there is a certain warmth in interior of house as per their client’s personalities. The décor of the house simply stunning luxurious but in a subtle way. Designers particularly liked the minimalist look but also wanted to use some bright colours. So, the designs for the interior decor were based on minimalism, while the lively decor came with colourful light fixtures, wooden furniture, and flooring which were handpicked to create a perfect blend.
