The Grand Golf Villa | Space Designers | Lucknow
The Grand Golf Villa is situated on a north-facing rectangular plot. Spreading across a plot area of 10,200 Sq. Ft. and a built-up area of 12000 Sq. Ft. in Lucknow. The site is open at the front and rear sides. Considering the fact that the rear side of the site shares its periphery with the premium Lush green Golf Course, it is only apt to call it The Golf villa.
The surrounding environment is calm and peaceful as the site is in one of the newly developing areas of the city with a good road network connecting it to the main city center. A significant chunk of land has been generously left as the front and rear setbacks to integrate and blend nature into the site. An impressive garden with a breath-taking landscape has been beautifully curated at the front and rear ends of the plot. The design philosophy honors the unique personality of the client. The idea was to create a modern-style house while maintaining the balance between aesthetics and functionality. A homogeneous colour scheme of greys and white is followed on the exterior with textures of wood and stone to create highlight elements on the façade. The magnificent double height door crafted in natural wood, emphasizes the main entrance and gives the villa a palatial touch. The house appears to be in complete harmony with its surroundings and embodies timeless beauty. In order to establish a good indoor- outdoor connection, a prudent installation of floor to ceiling height windows has been carried out.
The primary goal was to create a cozy, comfortable and well-connected house. As the villa is designed for a small family consisting of the client, his children and his parents. The idea was not to let the huge scale of the house overpower and dominate the family. The villa consists of 5 bedrooms, a formal and informal living area, a kitchen and dining area, a pooja room, a terrace garden overlooking the golf course, an entertainment room and a home theatre. The vision was to design a home in which a family would bond and co-habit well. The spatial requirements are fulfilled in a manner that each member gets a certain amount of privacy while still feeling connected with one another.
The internal volume has been treated with a continuous green wall, imparting a homogeneous essence to it. Narrating calmness and tranquility, is the chromatic sculpture suspended from the glass roof above. The staircase, the bedrooms, the living areas, the kitchen and dining all open up to the central triple-height area which serves as the heart of the villa. The interiors are simple and elegant while at the same time exuding a sense of luxury. A rich and exclusive coloured pallet is used to add warmth to the spaces.
On entering the villa, the first impression that you get is of grandeur and space. Walls are ornamented with stone and tiles while wooden is used as a highlighter, which compliments the flooring design. Lift entrance wall décor with a light palette of marble, while an elegant ceiling design adds calmness to the lobby. The plan is conceptualized in such a way that it promotes family interactions. A triple height atrium covered with glass is designed at the central core of the house. This allows ample natural light to enter throughout the day. All the main corridors are planned along this Atrium, enhancing the visual connection between various levels. The Copper ball pendant light series adding charm to this Atrium and creates an eye-catchy décor.
LIVING ROOM
The living area is the space where the family will spend most of their time together and has a magical serene touch that enriches living. Shades of beige, the use of various shapes and materials reflect the beauty of a modern contemporary bungalow in every essence. The living room opens to the views of the garden, which has a swift connection and a nature-inspired theme. The glass on one side allowed partial visibility to the main door while maintaining the privacy of the living room. There is light flooring and ceiling with dark center tables, giving it a modern look with extra warmth. Apart from that, the touch of copper belt on the marble wall cladded glorifies the space with a contemporary touch. The light beige sofas and decor give the space a more eclectic look. The TV unit made the focal point in the room by adding a contrasting touch of close-knit wood panelling.
DINING AREA
The dining area adds a picturesque element, creating an eye-pleasing space. Hanging lamps above the marble-top dining table adds an extra splash of magic and warmth. Dining chairs with grey upholstered and copper elements compliment the interior décor of the dining space. An elegant modern crockery unit adds charm and accentuates the dining area.
KITCHEN
The dining and kitchen spaces are placed opposite to each other yet allow significant visual connections with the touch of warmness. The breakfast cum service table is wisely placed in between the dining area and kitchen, highlighted by wooden framing with two beautiful hanging lamps above the table. Cream shaded cabinets and white platform décor with warm light accentuate the wooden décor and furniture.
PARENTS BEDROOM
The bedroom of the elderly parents on the ground floor has a traditional feel to it. A neutral-coloured pallet with delicate accents and finishes provides a soothing and homely feel to the space. The bed back drop is wrapped with floral wallpaper to create an aura of freshness throughout the space. The bed furniture, in grey with an ottoman, compliments the space. While in dark tone grey sofa and curtain create a cosy atmosphere in the bedroom. In the dressing area, the wardrobe was designed as per the theme of the bedroom and highlighted that space with a simple wooden ceiling design.
MASTER BEDROOM
The entrance of master bedroom is ornamented with elegant wallpaper which accents the console unit with painting hanging on the wall.
The master bedroom has been done in shades of off-white, keeping in mind the aesthetics of the house. The interior in the bedroom has an interesting blend of colour pallets, simple lines and coziness. The leatherette upholstered Royal Recliner chair with a classic base helps break the monotony in the room. The bed back in wood panelling has been designed and highlighted by marble wall cladded to the side table. While the combination of wooden and marble compliments the light fixtures.
The dressing area of the master bedroom again breaks monotony as the sliding wardrobe is designed in dark brown colour which compliments the light flooring.
SON’S BEDROOM
A simple chic contemporary room by the entrance, Son’s Bedroom has a separate sitting area for relaxing, having fun and spending time with family and friends. The grey wall highlighted with pictures is the focal point of the sitting space. A dark accented textured wall and wooden battens are used in the false ceiling innovatively. The combination of pastel sofas, dark centre tables and console unit gives a very cosy feel to the interior.
The Son’s bedroom evokes a soothing feel with its palette largely comprising of light beige, grey and pastel palette on soft furnishings, all speaking of vertical lines being in the forefront. On the contrary, the son’s bedroom is given a more contemporary look by using pop out colours and light textures to reflect the modern lifestyle with the wooden flooring. While bed back wall is ornamented by brown battens which accentuate the grey panel and compliment the bed design.
The luxurious walk-in closet of the son’s bedroom has large wardrobes which are finished in shiny material in grey shades. The powder room has wooden textured flooring that accentuates the different grey textured wall-cladded tiles and the décor.
DAUGHTER’S BEDROOM
The daughter’s room, with grey-white and a mix of sea-blue upholstery, ottoman and modern chair creates drama in the space. the bed back wall is décor with textured wall and white panel with light fixtures highlighting the bed furnishings. The simplicity of rooms with minimalistic looks and different themes in the same pattern binds this house in its own style. While it has a lavished dressing area where the shiny white wardrobe compliments the grey flooring and wooden ceiling design.
GUEST BEDROOM
Whereas in the guest bedroom, hints of white paired with marble cladding makes an eye-soothing interior. While a subtle copper belt on wall panelling with wooden panelling continues on both side tables, making it more elegant. With the same design as the bed back wall, the TV unit is also to be designed. Upholstered of chairs, bed and ottoman compliments the wooden flooring and creates an authentic look. The headboard is lined with a light beige palette from which the side tables emerge, giving them a classy effect.
An elegant dressing area design with a white wardrobe and sober wooden ceiling design accentuate all the furnishings. The attached toilet follows it where one wall is cladded with textured marble and the rest of the furniture and flooring is white, giving an opulent feel to the whole room.
THE FAMILY LOUNGE AREA
The Family lounge area has a beautiful white textured center table with a rug compliments the interior space. While shades of grey and white creates a classy décor and accentuates all the elements. The family lounge area is considered as one of the important places in the house, so Space Designers decided to pop some colours. Sofas of blush velvet upholstery are complimented with an elegant white ceiling design. On TV unit wall designers used marble with a simple console which was highlighted by warm light.
POOJA ROOM
The puja room is a haven of peace and solitude, perfect for one to connect with one’s spiritual self. With a calming dual toned colour scheme and a very minimal aesthetic mandir. The various elements of the room amalgamate to create a room which is the epitome of mindfulness. It was kept simple and quaint with the engraved ‘OM’ added to the otherwise unpretentious feature wall.
OFFICE AREA
Trends in office at home design are persistently evolving. The fusion of contemporary and elegant looks enhances the space, making it more inspiring and energized. A colour combination of light tones of beige in contrast with a vibrant sofa design brings a lively spirit to the place. All the elements of this office space compliment the interior décor.
HOME THEATRE ROOM
The Home theatre is a cosy 6 Recliners seated arrangement with red upholstered which compliments the combination with grey flooring. The walls are panelled with bands of red and grey upholstery with a grove pattern which is highlighted by wooden panels running from wall to ceiling. While all the panels are highlighted with warm light.
THE ENTERTAINMENT HALL
The Entertainment Hall has an added splatter of colours that makes it lively and engaging. The room is tied-in with the rest of the house by having a neutral tone for the furniture and the same light beige walls. What’s distinct is the pop of colour that the muted sofa and the choicely artefacts to the ensemble. The unique ceiling design is another feature that adds texture to the room. The overall feel of the room is snug and congenial.
BAR AREA
What’s really interesting is the bar area designed in Villa by the Space Designers team. The patterns of bar table with a black top and wooden base, compliments the bar stools, while the colours chosen blend with the texture of the walls and accentuates the furniture. While blue high-back lounge chair and open shelves with lights are the focal point of this bar area.
Another highlight is the terrace garden, wooden planks are fixed and artificial climbers used to décor the planks. While the swing and sitting arrangement are the charm of the terrace. One of the walls highlighted with a simple texture with white-green circular art adds accents to it. The night view from the terrace is amazing with the lights.
Space Designers make sure that each space has been designed in such a way that it appeals to the individual user of the corresponding space, yet is perfectly in harmony with the rest of the house. The lavish residence came out exquisitely well, because it brought out the passion of users and the designers, which was aligned well by workmen, resulting in a seamless product. This villa is a place for the family to relax, enjoy, laugh and create countless memories. As the owners intended, this is a celebration of ‘home’.
