Jewellery represents time and witnesses’ stories. Sometimes, jewellery contains stories while space contains the jewellery. The new showroom of Naveen Jewellers was knotted by Ikonique Design Studio set in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. Each space of this showroom is unique in itself and requires an all-inclusive approach as it reflects the character of its occupants and the functions held there. Naveen Jewellers studio has a wide collection of traditional and modern jewels that can be described as all things complemented with eye-catching interior décor.
The Principal Architects Ar. Somil Golchha and Ar. Priyanka Golchha shares that they have used the idea of ‘minimalist luxury’ to enhance the quality of the space. The requirement of the client was very simple interior décor which aids to interact with their customers one-on-one. So, the whole design concept is based on the client’s requirements. There were some key points that we worked on. Spatially the floors and furnishings are amalgamated elegantly by keeping in mind the customer flow and the client’s way of working. A modernistic approach with a traditional touch to the jewellery studio was the idea.
The store draws attention right from the entrance door where the cash counter wall gives it a unique element. The use of wooden Lord Buddha art and sleek finishes combined with the leafy golden décor on white background plays a major role in creating a visually appealing atmosphere. A classic marble beige statuario cash counter is well emphasized with horizontal mirror belts. The entire ceiling gives a luxurious and royal look to the interior décor of the showroom which also creates a good ambiance.
The entire showroom space has been spatially divided into two zones considering the working pattern of the owner. The front one is for the silver jewel and artifacts segment while on either side it is for the gold jewel segment. The designers smartly used a glass partition with wooden framing which also allows transparency and looks more spacious which is also complemented by tinted with golden jali framing décor. The elegant ceiling décor with linear wooden elements above the counters complements with lighting fixtures.
The idea was born through the concept of creating life within the store to celebrate the source of the products. Eye-catching display units in the form of modern decor have been incorporated to reflect the collection of the brand and its journey. All the display units are ornated with textured walls. While the opposite wall is ornate with marble cladding which is highlighted with wooden battens and hexagon décor on a light shade of panel. Lightning plays a key factor to make the space warmer, thereby bringing the focus to the products and circulation inside the store.
All the display units are ornated with wooden texture elements and well-lit up with spot-lighting fixtures. Even the display counter unit is elegantly décor in a classic style with marble and wooden elements. Columns also décor with a marble cladding which complements the theme of the showroom. Mirrors are placed as per the jewellery showroom requirements which is well accentuated with wall art. Designers smartly used the same marble and wooden color palette for chairs which gives a royal look to the showroom.
Designers make sure that the store focuses on allowing the customer to enjoy the feel of buying an exquisite piece of fine jewellery. So that it creates an experience that will allow the jewellery to create more stories. The display counters showcase the finer pieces of jewellery finished in a classic look, with the fluted wooden element in the front. The wall display creates a feeling of timelessness, with the gold and silver displays having different backdrops respectively.
The design firm Ikonique Design Studio makes an iconic statement while capturing the intrigue that brings about a flow in the footstep of this jewellery showroom. Each display section has been designed according to the product range. These individualistic display sequences ensure each jewel stands out while getting its own space to celebrate the craftsmanship of the deluxe products.
Overall, the project is minutely detailed with specially curated materials be it mirrors, chairs, flooring, or ceilings allowing quality and functionality to captivate the decor. Tactfully designed furniture pieces were introduced to add warmth to the spaces. The material palate was kept natural, without any superficial layering, to boost realism and comfort. The design concept of the entire showroom is focused on creating a muted color palette yet giving a rich luxury ambiance to the space.
