The design integrates classic materials such as wood, marble, and antique finishes, ensuring a refined aesthetic that endures. Completed in just three months, the project seamlessly balances functionality with striking design elements to create a home that is both sophisticated and soulful.
The Principal Designer, Vyoma Neel Doshii Popat, shares that the design revolves around creating a warm and refined atmosphere, where each element contributes to a harmonious living experience. Every design decision was thoughtfully curated to ensure that the home reflects the homeowners’ personality while maintaining a balance of beauty and practicality.
Living Area
The living area serves as the heart of the home, exuding a sense of bespoke craftsmanship. Finishing touches like the fully customized timepiece enhance the space, reinforcing the home’s character. Thoughtfully selected furnishings and finishes create an ambiance of understated luxury and enduring appeal.
A plush beige sofa, accent chairs, and a sculptural wooden coffee table create a refined setting, while large windows allow natural light to flood the space. Thoughtfully placed greenery and décor elements add vibrancy which complementing the understated textures on the walls. A sleek media unit with a wooden-accented base anchors the space, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal. Layered lighting and curated artwork complete the look, offering a sophisticated yet comfortable retreat.
Dining Area
The dining area flawlessly integrates with the living space, maintaining the same neutral tones and sophisticated appeal. A statement marble-top dining table with wooden legs is paired with plush and curved dining chairs, ensuring both style and comfort. Above, a striking pendant light fixture with brass accents enhances the space, casting a warm glow.
All the décor elements of the dining setup, framed artwork create a refined environment. Adjacent to the dining area, a sleek wooden console with a marble top serves both functional and decorative purposes, adorned with a custom-designed timepiece that adds a unique touch. Elements have been intentionally kept neutral and minimal, allowing the space to adapt effortlessly—ready to reflect any mood or style in the future.
Studio Room
At the core of the home, the studio room embodies versatility and flexibility. Featuring a signature swing, the space can fully open up to merge with the living area, making it ideal for gatherings, celebrations, and pujas. Alternatively, sliding-folding doors transform it into an intimate retreat for meditation, reading, or work. It also functions as a fashion design studio, doubling as a guest room at night with a sofa-cum-bed and blackout blinds for privacy.
Another distinctive feature is the wardrobe shutter in the studio room, designed in collaboration with the fashion designer homeowner. The custom fabric, compressed between two glass panels, tells the family’s story through geometric patterns, offering a deeply personal touch.
Temple Area With Comfort
Adding to the home’s bespoke craftsmanship, the intricately carved and hand-painted temple jali stands as a testament to traditional artistry, thoughtfully crafted by The Architect to evoke serenity and heritage. The soft neutral palette and warm wooden tones create a peaceful ambiance, perfect for meditation. Positioned near a large window, natural light enhances the divine atmosphere, making it a tranquil retreat within the home. The bed design, anchored by a sleek wooden headboard, exudes warmth and elegance, creating a serene and inviting retreat.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom is a study in minimal yet timeless aesthetics. The cantilever bench serves as the room’s defining feature, adding an element of functional artistry. Thoughtful design interventions ensure that the space remains both elegant and practical, offering a tranquil retreat within the home.
