Kanso Haus – A home defined by intentional simplicity | Eureka Design | Pune
A home shaped by the philosophy of simplicity, Kanso Haus is a quiet retreat in the middle of everyday chaos—where every element is intentional, and nothing feels excessive.

Designed as a Japandi-inspired 1100 sq. ft. home, the apartment balances the warmth of natural materials with the clarity of minimal design. Soft neutral tones, muted textures, and clean, precise lines come together to create a space that feels both grounded and quietly elevated—where every detail and piece of furniture is thoughtfully handcrafted and bespoke, reinforcing the home’s sense of authenticity and quiet luxury.

The living area flows effortlessly—uncluttered yet inviting—anchored by subtle textures, Sucupira veneer finishes, microconcrete, and diffused natural light. Each piece is carefully designed, allowing the space to breathe while still feeling complete.

The living space is anchored by a red brick TV wall, adding warmth and a raw, tactile contrast to the otherwise minimal palette. Paired with a built-in sofa, the space feels cohesive and grounded—designed not just for aesthetics, but for comfort and continuity. The integration keeps the visual language clean while enhancing functionality.

Flowing into the dining, the circular table becomes a sculptural focal point, with microconcrete-finished panelling on either side—soft in form yet strong in presence. Its seamless finish complements the neutral tones of the home, bringing in a subtle, contemporary edge while maintaining the calm ethos of Japandi design.

The kitchen introduces a bold yet balanced contrast—bright vermilion orange infuses energy into the space, breaking the monotony of neutrals in a refined, intentional way. Above, a beautiful Georgian shutter adds a layer of classic detail, creating a delicate interplay between structure and light. The result is a kitchen that feels both vibrant and composed, seamlessly blending character with restraint.

Designed as a calm sanctuary, the master bedroom embraces a restrained palette, tactile fabrics, and minimal styling that gently encourages rest and stillness. The space is intentionally quiet—free from excess, yet rich in subtle detail.

A soft layer of character is introduced through the ikat sage green wallpaper, bringing in a muted pattern that feels both rooted and soothing. It adds depth without overwhelming the space, aligning perfectly with the home’s Japandi sensibility.

Storage is seamlessly integrated, maintaining clean lines and ensuring functionality without visual noise. Every element is considered—nothing more, nothing less—allowing the room to breathe and feel effortlessly composed.

A playful contrast to the home’s quiet restraint, the daughter’s bedroom is designed to be quirky, fun, and full of personality—while still staying rooted in Japandi sensibilities, creating a space that feels both expressive and composed. Soft bursts of color and cheerful elements bring in a sense of joy and individuality, layered thoughtfully over a clean, minimal base. The palette is lively yet controlled, ensuring the space feels vibrant without becoming overwhelming.

Japandi details subtly anchor the room—simple forms, natural materials, and uncluttered styling keep the design grounded. Furniture remains low, functional, and intentional, allowing flexibility for play while maintaining visual calm.

Across the home, the design follows a simple principle: less, but better.
Kanso Haus is not just about how a space looks, but how it feels—
quiet, balanced, and deeply intentional.
