Kreon Projects’s vision for this project was to embellish each space uniquely and differently from the other, such that each space provides its own magical realism. And it proved to be highly challenging as the designer worked through it. The site is located in one of the most well-lit areas of the Thane West of Maharashtra. A 1270 sq. ft, 3BHK apartment was to create a modern yet distinctly Indian family home. Designers wanted to highlight the natural light and utilize a combination of vintage and contemporary furnishings and accessories to pay homage to the client’s lifestyle.
The interior flair of the residence, Auralis is a ‘Charismatic fusion’ of styles, with spaces expressing the individual personality of the users tied together with a common thread of ‘Grandeur’. Each room of the house follows the theme of white with different shades of blue and green touch which compliments the earthy tone wooden décor. The furniture & lighting express a strong presence – bold & impactful lending to the overall feel of the space. Metal in gold finishes is used to highlight details on furnishing and ceiling adding to the overall glam quotient of the space.
A refined entryway makes for a great first impression. For a family that entertains regularly, the entrance is the first thing visitors see and the first sight that welcomes you every day! The entrance door is a solid wooden door with a laser cut white grill engraved in the door. With the same pattern, cabinets are to be décor which is highlighted by greenery. When we enter the space immediately in the front, there is a blurred glass partition, with artesian white shelves for artefacts. This panel rests against the wall as an aesthetic touch to the entrance space but moves forward to make a partition that provides privacy to the interior of the apartment even if the front door is open. After entering the house just on the right, there is an eye-catching modern dresser with a traditional touch that accentuates the interior decor.
After a beautiful entrance, Auralis opens into a spacious and luxurious living room. An elegant white center table in the living room is paired with a beautiful and minimalist sea blue sofa and stools that accentuates the soft, luxe feeling. The gold detailing on the sofa and stools is carried on to the other end of the living room in a gold geometric panel that continues to the ceiling as highlighter. The ceiling design adds a royal outlook of this living area with embossed detailing and a golden running belt. The geometrical 3d-cube wall art with marble-cladded wall adds the perfect amount of coziness to it. While the TV unit wall highlighted with the same theme of 3d-cubes and gold on panelling which is integrated with white wooden drawers. The home has been defined by incorporating shades of white and sea blue throughout. With the intention of allowing an influx of natural light, giving a touch of wood, and making gold a strong focal point. The distinct colours of the decor & furniture complement the entire appearance of the space.
The living room flawlessly transitions into the dining area. The combination of distinct elements such as the dining table & other furniture crafted in wooden, glass & paint finishes, create an intricate interplay of golden texture. A gorgeous hanging light is provided in the center of the table to combine the ambiance and accentuate the ceiling design. A white dining table top and shiny upholstered dining chair add charm to the dining area with the metal wall art on a white background.
The Pooja room’s door is designed in a Victorian style near to the dining area. The white wall of the Pooja room emits reconciliation of peace and tranquility. Engraving of the beautiful Mantra and inlay pattern of gold makes the enclosure a perfect space for prayer. Wallpaper and a Lord Ganesha print on blind curtains is the highlight of the pooja room. All the elements and sitting style with traditional touch compliments to each other.
The bond with nature is most evident in this prolonged contemporary kitchen design. Black platform with dark green cabinets and drawers becomes the highlighting factor of this space. Cosy and elegant in its whole look and feel, this compact kitchen design features adhesive green tiles on backsplash add more beauty to this space. Moreover, this kitchen also offers convenient storage with lofts, combining style and functionality effortlessly. While elegant ceiling design and light beige flooring compliments the kitchen décor.
The earth-tone bedroom is designed with wooden flooring, which compliments the furnishings of the bedroom. Colour elements are added in the form of colourful patterned curtains. It accommodates the design of the bed, wardrobe, study area, along with an elegant reading space. All of the elements seamlessly blend to give the bedroom a holistic modern appeal blended with a highlighted sea blue palette panelling with geometric groves. Sea blue panelling accentuates the pairing of light tones while one wall is highlighted with world map wall art. The elegant design of the ceiling adds charismatic décor to the bedroom.
Another bedroom emanates a nature-inspired materials touch with the use of a tufted geometric patterned leather headboard in olive green and cubical design wall panelling. The use of a bold black belt with blue and green for the sliding wardrobe compliments the white furniture which add a spark to the natural feel of the bedroom. While a beautiful ceiling design highlighted by a wooden belt compliments the wall cabinet for the study area. The projector setup in the bedroom was smartly designed by the designer, where the screen for the projector was settled in ceiling design.
The master bedroom is one of the highlights of this apartment. It emphasizes the use of geometric spaces, colours and materials. The beautiful play of wood with the colourful fabric and white textured walls defines the perfect balance of the room. The challenge here was to create a blend of tradition and contemporary. The design of the bed creates an eye-catching look with blue and orange upholstered. The ceiling design and the bed’s back wall design add allure to the bed furnishing, while gold is used as a highlighter. The geometric pattern on the TV unit panel and wardrobe with blue and white pallet compliments the wooden flooring.
KREON PROJECTS makes sure that, overall, the house expresses a warm yet rich colour palette with bling quotient added through the gold touch finishes in the detailing of the furniture, walls, light, etc. An interior scheme that combines both form, function & opulence with an edge & personality. Designed and executed by Kreon Projects wants to create, cohesively fused with eclectic elements, lending it a wow factor and making a beautiful home for the owners with a variety of spaces to experience.
