2Bhk Residence | Designer’s Port | Thane

An attractive home decor belonging to Mr. Fernandis was designed by Designer’s Port Interior Design Studio. The house is designed considering the client’s requirements and Lifestyle. The client envisioned a new house to be a shelter of comfort. They desired to have a cozy, comfortable interior with simple, yet vibrant and bold interiors.

The Principal Designer worded that the interior design of this 2bhk residence family of 3 people-a Couple, and a daughter. Both are busy professionals and are very much crazy about home cleaning things. So, by keeping that in mind we wanted to design without grooves, moldings, and 3d surfaces. And it becomes easy to clean and maintain the home by the client. House with open space and must look grand with elegant decor. Previously it was full of furniture and cannot see open space but now we design this beautiful home with attractive elements and clean lines.

ENTRANCE

The Designer proposed a proper layout plan for the house. Everything is changed from flooring, furnishings, and furniture. Light color floor for open space and a bigger look throughout the house. Whereas the designer makes one puffy for sitting while wearing shoes. The shelves above are in random patterns to keep the souvenirs from different places. In the entrance area, the nameplate is an artistic color that endures the wall. The shoe rack area the width is a bit smaller, so the Designer used a vertical unit with a small niche and corner for vases, so no obstacle while passing from there.

LIVING ROOM

An elegant Tv unit is designed with less maintenance solid pastel shade laminate, and a rafter to compliment it. While a TV back wall is highlighted with a sandstone finish material which enhances the decor. Accommodating a small mandir area with a pull-out shelf and some storage below. A modern L-shape sofa with light shade upholstery accentuated with a wooden center table. Mr. Fernandis sometimes works from home, so the Designer used the living area space for all his office things. A working table is arranged in the corner of the living room with sufficient storage and shelves with light fixtures.

In the balcony area, the Designer has done beautiful artwork on one wall, with a wooden floor. While the client can sit in the morning and sip coffee peacefully with family and friends. In this house, wallpaper is used on the living room ceiling only. In every room, the artwork is done. The light fixtures used for furniture and ceiling add a good ambiance to the interior décor. All the décor elements like artifacts create an eye-catchy décor.

DINING AREA

The altar for Jesus is made with rustic tiles as a backdrop which accentuates the dining area. The interior décor for the dining area was kept simple and elegant. The wooden dining table and wooden chairs with light-shade upholstery cushion compliment the white wall. Just after the dining area, there is one duct unused before, which the Designer converted into a beautiful quiet Bar area with rustic tiles for the countertop, a mirror on the back to give double look, and space for crockery.

KITCHEN

The kitchen platform was black and had dark tiles on dado.  Now it is done with ginger tan quartz less maintenance but with a different look, and Moroccan tiles for dado to complement the look. Space for the dishwasher after the pandemic is in the demand. Besides the dishwasher, small pull-out trolly for detergent storage, and above there is space for storing stuff. Overhead storage shutters with fluted glass. Parallel platform with some niches with profile light. Wooden, acrylic laminate, and black color handles were used.

PASSAGE

The coming passage storage is camouflaged with wall color laminate. The basin counter with white quartz stone and basin. The common toilet has pastel shade tiles, a Moroccan floor, and white sanitaryware. Easy cleaning, Service area has a drying space, washing machine, and AC units.

MASTER BEDROOM

Coming to the master bedroom major unused area is utilized for storage. Passage area with storage above, window bay sitting done with storage for books with artwork on the shutter, below storage, also place beside sitting got huge storage. In the wardrobe area, one unused area is utilized so more space for the wardrobe.  The bed is simple as per the client’s requirement. All the elements and furnishings used in the bedroom create a good ambiance with natural light coming from the window.

The dressing design is done elegantly with storage that complements the bed furniture décor, while mirrors help to look more spacious.  Headboard with green, which is not a regular color tone. Furniture with rustic grey and highlighter sheet accentuates the interior décor of the bedroom. Coming to the last part toilet, it is small but with all the utility. Tiles with Italian finish, a small basin with storage, and shower with cubicle, easy clean.

DAUGHTER’S BEDROOM

The daughter’s bedroom storage is given in the wardrobe inside with drawers and shelves as per the kid’s usage. Wardrobe shutters are done with writing purposes for the kid. And where the client’s daughter and her friends enjoy writing and drawing on it. At the entrance one mirror is put on the left of the wardrobe also it contains storage. The study area is designed with a table that also has storage above-below and a soft board in teal color. Sofa cum bed in white color with blue headboard and dreamcatcher artwork on the wall above.

Adding up to a modern vibrant and elegant theme, initially, it was challenging to pick the right shade of color and texture. But with careful planning, it all came together as the blend of other furniture, upholstery, and furnishings blended well with selected shades! Niches in each space are added to bring beauty and drama to otherwise simple surfaces.

Interior Lover Team’s view on the Project

The 2 BHK Interior Design is well designed by Designer’s Port Interior Design Studio which is set for satisfying the needs, from the perspective of minimal and still much adorable, the material palette is much decent and minimal ceiling design while modern furniture design goes hand in hand. Simple materials and easy-on-eyes color palettes suitably define the home. Everything here belongs and has a character that supports the design. Each room, each space narrates a different story. The house is richly layered with a judicious mix of materials, extending onto furniture, furnishings, and artwork.  The hint of a warm earthy palette of materials, textures, and colors is alluring and comforting to the eyes. Each furniture element is selected by the studio, and beautifully blends with the walls lending an elegant décor to this home. The color scheme has been followed in the décor along with shades and tints of various beautiful and fresh colors.
