Perched above the urban setting of Pitampura, New Delhi, this 1500 sq. ft. private terrace is envisioned as a seamless blend of architecture, landscape, and lifestyle. Designed as a versatile, all-season haven, the terrace reimagines a once-functional rooftop into an elegant setting for relaxation, social gatherings, and moments of quiet solitude.
The design is anchored by a striking mild steel pergola, which establishes a strong architectural framework while subtly zoning the open terrace. Clean lines and a restrained material language allow the structure to feel bold yet unobtrusive. Beneath this pergola, a thoughtfully designed seating area features outdoor-grade waterproof rope furniture, selected for its durability, comfort, and contemporary aesthetic.
A custom-designed bar, placed under a separate pergola and detailed with gold-finished MS rods, adds a refined accent to the neutral palette, introducing warmth, visual rhythm, and understated elegance to the space.
At the rear of the terrace, a pool with an integrated Jacuzzi transforms the area into a zone of leisure and wellness. Surrounding decking with integrated steps and seating ensures fluid movement and everyday usability. While the daytime atmosphere remains serene and relaxed, music-synchronised lighting allows the terrace to transition seamlessly into an intimate party setting after sunset.
A refined sculptural moment is created through a custom Makrana marble seating bench, finished in pristine white and accented with three round Makrana marble spheres. Paired with a bespoke designer sculpture, these elements introduce artistry and material depth.
Landscape design plays a crucial role, with customised FRP planters placed strategically across the terrace, housing all-season plants for year-round greenery.
Shaped by thoughtful design and subtle details, the rooftop becomes an elevated outdoor space that supports quite moments of calm as effortlessly as lively evenings under open sky.

Floating gracefully above New Delhi’s urban skyline, the 1,500 sq. ft. Mr Jain’s Private Terrace in Pitampura, designed by White Square Studio, is envisioned as a calm and elegant extension of modern outdoor living. The design combines strong architectural clarity with soft decorative details, creating a space that feels balanced, welcoming, and thoughtfully composed. A subtle and cohesive colour palette forms the base of the design, where clean metal lines are softened with well-chosen furnishings and refined finishes.
Custom elements ensure visual flow while keeping the setting open and uncluttered. The furniture is selected for both comfort and durability, allowing the terrace to be used comfortably throughout the year. Gentle metallic accents add warmth and a touch of sophistication without overpowering the overall look.
Stone-based sculptural elements act as quiet focal points, adding texture and visual depth to the space. Layered lighting enhances the atmosphere, allowing the terrace to shift smoothly from a relaxed daytime mood to a warm evening setting. Greenery, introduced through thoughtfully placed planters, brings freshness and natural balance. Together, these elements create a refined outdoor sanctuary that supports both peaceful moments and social gatherings with equal ease.
