Tucked in the middle of the picturesque city of Nashik in Maharashtra. This nouvelle abode is characterized by its charming persona to unwind and luxuriate.
The architect was approached to design a multi – generational home of 1700 square feet. The architect’s intention was clear: to celebrate each individual while also tying the house together with functionality. A home where everyone can sit together while also having their own space when needed. This 15-year-old home required a makeover that would last the test of time. The use of materials such as wood, concrete finishes, and white statuario brings a sense of timelessness to the home. Decor was made to look elegant with a neutral colour palette and liberal use of wooden finishes.
For a cleaner look, the entry has a utility space behind the door, and the ceiling makes a bold statement with triangular work and lights peeking through it.
An enthralling view of the city from this height necessitated the removal of a few walls in order to bring the panoramic view into the living room, as well as the addition of north lights into the space, which illuminates the living spaces. The brownish grey flooring adds warmth to the room, which is brightly lit by large glass windows. In the living room, the chevron shape of the TV unit, as well as the vertical flutes in the same finish, steal the show.
The gen Z bedroom design takes a voguish approach, with concrete finishes on the walls and clean white interiors. The first rays of the sun shine brightly into this bedroom, making the mornings beautiful. The decor complements the room’s grey and white interiors.
A monochromatic palette dominates the house visually, emphasizing the personalities of individuals in each space. The grandparents’ room unifies the space with the use of rattan weave, allowing them to remember the simplicity of their early life. The grandmother also loves her time in the kitchen and temple.
To maintain the balance, the master suite is a hybrid of both of the other bedrooms. The white and grey flooring, as well as the wooden and concrete finishes, give the space a modern feel. The ambient lighting behind the bed illuminates the room beautifully. Mr. Yeola wished for a grand bathroom and requested large wall tiles to give it a luxurious appearance.
A large curved balcony attaches to the living space, which is not only spacious but also has a lush green view from the fourth floor in a city with very few skyscrapers. The backdrop of the balcony seating is tilted at an angle to provide light from behind while also exquisitely illuminating up the space. “Mr. Yeola was hesitant about the balcony design and agreed after much persuasion, only to love this space the most in his entire house where everyone gathers to enjoy their evening chai and the view together,” the architect explains.
The daughter insisted on a lovely backdrop for her photos, which had always been lacking in the old house. To bring life to the space and serve as a backdrop for her, an artificial plant wall was added to the balcony. This house is thoroughly enjoyed by each member of the Yeola family to unwind and relax, making it truly Maison De Luxe.
