SASARWADI – A Boutique Restaurant | Studio Septray | Navi Mumbai
While maintaining a balance between a welcoming ambiance and maximum seating capacity, this boutique restaurant has got a unique taste of Authentic Maharashtrian approach with modern concept.
The clients desire for a space which could speak on its own about the culture, food and the concept.
The first glimpse of the space- The Façade a concoction of tall pillars cladded with burnt brick patterned flex, rough textured signage wall with a vibrant yet elegant logo, A cozy waiting corner with wooden bench, stone carved Holy basil plant stand.
The Brass studded wooden paneled doors in combination with glass and wooden frame to allow maximum natural light.
As you enter the space, it welcomes you with a double height ceiling cladded with natural bamboo, Cane lights, wooden furniture with cane accents and a colorful yet subtle palette of browns, mustards, tint of blue, pink and greens.
With the intent to let the customer enjoy every possible aspect of the space and understand the concept, the design features elements that maximize the perception of the space on its own.
Authentic Elements :
The main artwork wall – An Artwork of 5’ x 7’ canvas hand painted in a 3d form depicting the old Marathi kitchen.
The Tutari wall – A Tutari in Marathi is a large trumpet which is played on occasions and as a sign of welcome. Here we crafted a 10’ height 3d Tutari on the wall which was hand painted with every possible elements of Maharashtra along with a Holy Shloka written in between the Tutari.
Table Tops – The table tops were treated with Original Paithani sarree,being cut and framed appropriately with glass on top.
This tiny space of 260 sq.ft. planned in a way accommodating a seating capacity of 20 people, a 100sqft kitchen, washroom and a staircase will leave you mesmerized.
