The ASC Showroom & Office | The Architects Collaborative | Punjab

VitrA translates its intrinsic values to today’s modern life standards. With tiles specially designed for different spaces from walls to gardens to balconies to pools, VitrA’s expertise extends beyond bathrooms. So by keeping that sanitaryware showroom and office for ASC designers have designed this project with contemporary and classic. The client had expressed to create a gallery for Sanitaryware Showroom and office for Aggarwal Sales Corporation in JLPL Industrial Area, SAS Nagar, Punjab.

The entrance is a captivating alley that draws one’s attention right from the entrance door. It is very creatively done with an innovative ornamental metal grill on ceiling and wall hanging which is cladded with uneven shape of square and rectangle. Even after entering in the showroom ceiling also ornamented with metal grill and visitors can notice VitrA’s product layout display on wall with their product showcase. This passage merges seamlessly in all the smaller recreated spaces. The path of movement itself becomes the mode of display and creates the curiosity to get further insight of the spaces adjacent to it. The attempt has been to achieve a balance with the passage being the connecting invisible spine of the spaces, as well as, a transition space that helps the spaces effortlessly merge into a unanimous whole.

The new gallery space was thought of as an overall strategy initiated to reiterate the conventional display centers. The fundamental concept was to design a gallery that would not only showcase the diverse products we have to offer, but also provided space that would allow the visitors to sit down comfortably, contemplate, and choose from the wide range offered. Rather than having arrays of product display, another part of the idea was to recreate part spaces of a house with the products, to give an idea to the visitors of the actual look of the product in intended use. It was discovered that every single product used in the interiors of any space had to be hand-picked. Hence the need for the showroom got reinforced in the conceptualization of the project. – Said by The Principal Designer.

Ceilings, exposed services, and lighting fixtures have been intentionally kept dark in colour to restrict the visual connection up till the eye level. It was an important design decision to use various products in the elements and spaces of the showrooms to give a better understanding of the product in use, be it the different flooring, the lighting and cladding partitions or the furniture. Some products function as individual exhibits and displays, with the idea of utilising their unique attributes to enrich the spatial experience.

Cement grey on the discussion table completes the cabin with classy stanza and complimented with the natural lit. Ceiling is highlighted by wooden with grid pattern and unique way of lighting fittings just compliment to it.

Crafting a space that stimulates the visitor’s psychology with the possibilities of engaging the tiles with innovative methods. For which sanitary section highlighted with different geometric pattern stone tiles, Italian glossy tiles, wooden floor etc. and it is truly a buyer’s delight. It displays unique traits & contrasts that distinctly characterize the design concept with wooden furnish.

Bathtub’s showcase is awesome, each area is highlighted by floor tiles, wall work, furnish and lighting work. Even basic needs in bathtub area are also well organised with the respective bathtubs either its cabinets with colourful strip light, faucets, handle, etc.

To create the desired ambience glossy white colour are used for walls and floors. Ceiling painted dark grey, whereas light plays a major role throughout the showroom for focusing on products to enhance the space. Many products functions as individual exhibits and displays, with the idea of utilising their unique attributes to enrich the spatial experience. Such as wash basin with faucet and mirror on white background and black stand. While shower set is highlighted with white light and washbasin looks great with dark grey backwall.

A visitor is driven through a space towards the variety of tiles creating a sense being in a museum with tiles highlighted. The colours and the textures play a major role in effectively breaking the visual monotony. The fully systematic setup gives an illusionary pause, all compelling enough to draw attention of visitors. And encouraging them to stay for a while, as envisioned by designers at the initial conceptual stage. All the sections are highlighted by the spot focus lights with dark ceiling. Light plays a major role throughout the showroom for focusing on the tiles to enhance the depth & textiles in various patches of tiles.

For shower product designer team make a small specific area where they can showcase the settings of shower on ceiling, faucet fittings with great contrast colour combination of wall, floor and wooden ceiling.

The reception and discussion area are centrally creative through the gallery. Thus, dividing space into interesting zones and avoiding direct glimpse of the entire gallery from one point thus arousing curiosity for the user. Whereas discussion area stands out silently with its grey panel cladded on wall with engrave look highlighted with profile LED light creates an attractive area. Geometric

Near the reception area very uniquely captivating showcase on wooden grid table that draws one’s attention. To create the desired ambience cement grey vertical and horizontal pattern are used for walls. While white inbuilt rack with spot light just works as an ornamental for the respective wall.

One of the most appealing characteristics of the office exterior is the combination of modern and industrial outlook giving its veterans a unique experience along with the green landscape around. The office is designed around its central axis which provides an uninterrupted view on all sides. The combination of Glass and wooden plank texture in the Elevation creates an Industrial look and the interior feels spacious and well-lit. The use of different materials on the exterior such stone, grid pattern on fence wall & funder max to create a different look on the offices garden sitting space.

Designers says that Our objective was to create an experience centre where people would see, understand the product and know the wide options of tile availability. It could achieve the same goals by showcasing the applications of tiles on walls, floor, ceiling, hanging elements, on tables & artifacts. The Sanitaryware Showroom and office for ASC is truly a buyer’s delight. It displays unique traits & contrasts that distinctly characterize the design concept. The Architects Collaborative and team make sure that our designs draw attention of visitors. “The Architects Collaborative” is not just a business venture but collaboration between individuals of similar design instincts.
