Khushiyaan – The Shah Residence | Regnant Interiors | Vapi, Gujarat
Khushiyaan- The Shah Residence is located in a Heliconia Homes – Avadh Utopia, Vapi, interior designer Palak Shah founder of Regnant Interiors creates this out-of-the-ordinary coalesce of luxe and minimalism. This residence with a 4670 sq. ft., is a resplendent home that manifests a rich yet contemporary theme, and exhilarating surprise elements. The villa also possesses beautiful open spaces in the form of a terrace and a lawn consisting of an area of 1,970 sq. ft. It has been designed to radiate a feeling of comfort and warmth that naturally glides a person into relaxation, allowing one to find a sense of tranquillity while enjoying the space alone or while spending some quality time with their loved ones.
The Principal Designer stated that Khushiyaan, a name very close to the client’s heart and a word inspired by their daughter’s name Khushi which carries a very positive connotation of “happiness”, was a refreshing project for my team and myself. Every area of this house has been designed keeping in mind the client’s and their family’s preferences in terms of colors and aesthetics while simultaneously possessing elements of distinction which also allows them to feel something undiscovered around them.
Entrance
A bold façade was outlined combining a material palette with different elements. The entrance was kept contemporary and modest, completed in the glossy cladding on a wall in pink and white shade. While staggered steps created space for scenery pockets along with a wooden storage unit and a modern finished wooden door. The black element and handle with a circular nameplate completed the door’s elegance. Planters and ceiling light fixtures on the entrance beautify the space elegantly.
Living room
The entrance leading up to a quite notable modest-classic living room. While the Elongated space near entrance uses an unobtrusive white partition with circular decor as a separator for the living and private space for reading or relaxing. Modern leatherette sofas and an elegant center table with a modern rug add a luxe factor to the living area. The Floor has an execution of wooden textured tiles with two different tones pleasingly complementing the diverse stylishness ceiling decor. A modest TV unit with circular stone textured paneling highlighted with different styles of light fixtures. A TV wooden console unit matches the main door texture beautifully.
Dining area
This double-height space of the dining area is also connected to the living area creating a sense of interactive sessions between the members of the house. It has huge double-height windows which give ample lighting throughout the day. A dedicated double-heightened dining area with a modern circular chandelier identifies the dining space giving it a warmer feeling with a contemporary style. It sheds light on the custom-made Marble top Dining table accentuates with dual-tone dining chairs. Indoor planters and circular wall art are placed to add different layer of texture to the entire space.
On either side of the partition relaxing armchair with a footrest is a smart addition to the interior space. Whereas on opposite designer follow a theme of a circular pattern which can be seen through the wall clock and a modern black stand unit. Even the powder room is also well décor with a circular mirror and wooden furniture in a modern and elegant style. Planters and artifacts accentuate the interior of the living space.
Kitchen area
Multifunctional and maintenance-free kitchen with ultra-modern storage systems that are customized to suit the specific needs of the client. The white statuario finished counter and backsplash provides ample working space. This is a perfect combination of a modern and minimalistic kitchen with ample utility space with wooden texture flooring. A sleek parallel kitchen design with a pop of color is aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. It features clean lines and state-of-the-art fittings. This kitchen is perfectly dressed and inviting, making it perfect for a modern home.
Mandir
The solidity of materials gets broken down with the use of a charcoal panel border and back painted glass panel. The panel has an engraving of the Jain Navkar mantra. The overall play on the wall and an artwork like fluid art on it shows the fluidity of emotions. Even the well-lit, room with an elegant ceiling décor and chandelier, expresses a sense of spirituality with its vibrant color scheme and storyline as a part of devotion. While two modern contrast chairs are complementing the color scheme of this interior space.
Daughter’s bedroom
Each bedroom has its individuality while following the entire theme and functionality of the rest of the house. The daughter’s bedroom flaunts gorgeous patterns and pastel color palette combined with an arches theme to give it a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.
The headboard is in L-shape and the designer smartly used it as a partition for the dressing area while on either side of the headboard, it is décor with mirrors creatively. And the wall is highlighted with floral wallpaper which complements pastel color palette of the bedroom. Led strips are detailed in the study table unit, and careful attention has been paid to using light fixtures for the bedroom. While washroom is well décor with texture tiles, sanitary fitting, and storage units.
Daughter’s bedroom
The daughter’s bedroom is a monochromatic theme with hues of grey besides hints of blue and orange. A bright headboard with a modern symmetrical standing panel attached to the side drawers creates an eye-catchy element of the bedroom. Modern bed furniture is paired up with an elegant couch which creates a good environment. The room is complimented by custom-designed TV console. While the t.v. unit wall is finished in textured paint and the vertical panel is finished with tiles and given indirect lights. A modern armchair and rug are placed near the blue highlighted paneling which consist of concealed door to walk in wardrobe.
The wardrobe shutters in the walk-in closet area are well designed and to make it look luxurious clear mirror along with linear LED Lighting has been smartly used by the designer. The bathroom blooms seamlessly with the grey texture tiling wall whereas the white washbasin and countertop are done with grey storage furniture. While light fixtures play an important role in the closet and washroom interior space.
Master Bedroom
The Master bedroom is in royal style decor, it is simple yet luxurious with crisp and clean lines. The unique design of the bed’s white headboard complements the curtains and fluted white shutter of the wardrobe. The tv unit wall is finished with black marquina marble with white overhead storage. The wardrobe is smartly designed to accommodate a cozy dressing area adjacent to the wardrobe and dual tone couch is the key highlight of the bedroom.
The balcony is well-designed with a vertical standing garden panel while two outdoor modern armchairs and the brick color palette wall give eye-soothing décor elements. Even the attached bathroom has a luxurious interior look with the aid of modern furniture style and washbasin décor. While light fixtures like pendant lights add charm to the interior décor.
Daughter’s bedroom
This fourth tropical-theme bedroom tells a simple story with wooden and black accented furniture and a wall dominated with shades of green textured wallpaper and paint. Four poster bed décor with grey headboard and choice of curtain creates a pleasing environment in the bedroom. The TV unit is highlighted with wallpaper and the ivory hues of wardrobe design complementing each other. The wooden texture light fixture, modern sofa with footrest, and choice of curtains make this bedroom different from the rest bedroom.
Even the flooring, ceiling, and storage unit are selected creatively by the designer. The closet and dressing area are eye-catchy décor with a different theme for furniture and walls. All the elements and artifacts in this bedroom make it more beautiful and unique. The bathroom follows the grey theme for walls and storage with a white top.
Outdoor area
A garden and relaxing feeling outdoor area are designed with the open sky connected to nature. Designer smartly décor the ground floor and terrace for a relaxation zone for family and friends. The outdoor area gazebo is finished with rustic grey tiles flooring, planters and the wall is finished in wooden tiles with transparent roofing to create a good ambiance. While out door sitting in different styles of furniture like sofas, chairs and swings accentuates each other elegantly. Planters, wall art, artifacts, and a mini-bar area with a white top unit give a feeling of relaxation.
The terrace area is also well décor by the designer with different styles of sitting arrangements complementing the flooring tiles. It is a fully covered terrace so clients can even enjoy the rainy atmosphere with a cup of tea. The unique style of wall art in the square pattern is the highlight with focus light fixtures. While planters and all other elements create a pleasing ambiance.
The Designer has given each room a unique look in terms of design like out-of-the-box shapes, rejuvenating themes, inspiring concepts, and coinciding colors to create a simplistic yet modern outline that the client can relate to. Each space of the house has a different story to tell, yet is connected by the common areas like the living room, dining area, passage, and staircase area, which is the neutral space between all the bedrooms.
