In response to a client’s request for a rapid yet aesthetically and functionally streamlined office space, our team delivered a project that exemplifies refined functionality. This office design seamlessly blends raw industrial elements with sophisticated touches, creating an environment that is both practical and elegantly understated.
Our design approach centered around enhancing the inherent potential of the space with the concept of “Refined Functionality.” The common area ceiling was intentionally left exposed to showcase the raw services, complemented by a soothing sage green paint. This choice not only adds visual interest but also reflects the core values of stability and growth associated with the financial sector. The ceiling’s informal character is elegantly contrasted by a sophisticated moulding detail, introducing a refined elegance.
Ornamental lighting fixtures, suspended from the ceiling, strike a balance between aesthetic appeal and functionality, casting a warm, inviting glow throughout the space. The reception and waiting area, though compact, exude luxury through the use of plush leather chairs and subtly textured wallpaper, setting a sophisticated tone upon entry.
Black metal accents and fluted glass partitions define the office’s layout, combining style with privacy. The signature sage green theme is continued into the meeting room and cabins, ensuring a cohesive design language. In the meeting room, the presentation wall is highlighted in green, providing a dynamic backdrop for discussions. Unique chairs add both comfort and visual appeal.
Cabin 1 features a striking green accent wall paired with a grey guest sofa, creating a sophisticated contrast. Cabin 2 incorporates a rich green leather armchair, offering a relaxing corner within the office. Panelled walls adorned with large artworks enhance the space’s character, contributing to an overall aesthetic that is both functional and visually engaging.
The office furniture is selected with a focus on simplicity and practicality, ensuring that every piece supports the workspace’s operational needs while maintaining a stylish and professional appearance.
This project stands as a testament to how thoughtful design can elevate a simple brief into a space that is both operationally efficient and visually inspiring.

Studio GH’s latest project, “Functionality Refined,” located in Kothrud, Pune, transforms a modest office space of 1300 sq. ft. into a sophisticated workplace that exudes elegance and efficiency. Led by Ar. Gauri Patil and Ar. Heramb Patil, the design thoughtfully merges industrial rawness with refined aesthetics, offering a balanced environment that supports productivity and style. With the concept of “Refined Functionality,” the team embraced exposed architectural elements, blending them with subtle colour schemes that convey stability and growth, aligning with the financial sector’s principles.
The space is characterized by carefully chosen materials and finishes that reflect an understated luxury.
