Casa Curve | AW Architects | Studio Two Bricks | Thane
Nested in Kalpataru Park city, 178 Casa Curva is a thoughtfully designed 3BHK residence spanning approximately 1,350 sq. ft. Conceived by Anmol Waychal of his eponymous firm AW Architects in collaboration with Prashant Katkade of Studio Two Bricks, the home explores a refined design language defined by gentle curves and a soft material palette. Pastel hues blend seamlessly with warm wooden finishes, establishing a sophisticated yet welcoming environment where sculptural forms, subtle textures, and balanced compositions create a calm, elegant residential setting.

The Principal Designers share that the concept of the home was guided by the idea of curves as a unifying design language. Arched transitions, rounded silhouettes, and sculptural accents subtly soften the spatial experience while highlighting the beauty of materials such as natural wood, fluted panels, and matte laminates. Carefully curated furnishings, layered textures, and decorative lighting introduce visual rhythm without overwhelming the palette. Oval mirrors, curved mouldings, and refined cabinetry inserts complement the geometry, while muted tones and a gentle mauve accent lend depth and character.

Pleasant Living Room
The living room reflects the home’s curved design language through sculpted wall mouldings and soft shades of finishes. A neutral fabric sofa is paired with cylindrical side tables and a textured rug, creating a relaxed yet refined seating arrangement. Decorative globe lighting fixtures highlight the moulded wall panels, turning them into subtle art pieces. A marble-finish television backdrop with a wooden console and display shelves adds warmth while maintaining a minimal, elegant visual balance.

Modern Kitchen And Dining Space
The kitchen and dining space is defined by a graceful curved opening that frames the cooking area while visually connecting it with the rest of the home. A sleek breakfast counter finished with fluted detailing is paired with tall wooden bar stools, creating a casual dining spot. Modern cabinetry, glass shutters, and clean countertops maintain a light and refined aesthetic. Nearby, a compact built-in bench with smart storage creates a cosy seating nook, complemented by oval mirrors, open shelves, and indoor greenery that add warmth and decorative rhythm.

Serene Mandir
The mandir is designed as a serene spiritual corner highlighted by carved wooden elements and soft backlighting that creates a warm devotional glow. Ornamental pillars and delicate detailing frame the deity niche, giving it a traditional temple-like presence. A modern cabinet unit anchors the mandir setting, while pastel finishes and curved edges maintain harmony with the home’s design language. Subtle lighting and minimal décor ensure the sacred space feels peaceful and warm.

Accent Bedroom
The accent bedroom introduces a calming palette with soft textured wall finishes and a vertically upholstered headboard that adds depth to the area. A neutral bed setting is complemented by layered bedding and muted décor pieces, creating a restful atmosphere. Minimal bedside tables and concealed wardrobes maintain visual clarity, while warm curtains soften natural light. The overall composition balances comfort and elegance through gentle tones, clean furniture lines, and restrained decorative elements.

Comfort Retreat
An elegantly designed bed is placed along moulded wall panels that echo the home’s curved theme. This space blends comfort with functional storage through thoughtfully designed cabinetry and clean-lined furniture. A compact wardrobe with glass shutters and pastel inserts provides practical storage while adding a decorative touch. Patterned curtains introduce subtle movement, while indoor plants and warm textiles soften the space. The result is a balanced bedroom that feels organised, inviting, and visually cohesive.

Elegant Bedroom
The elegant bedroom carries a refined mauve accent palette that subtly highlights the interior scheme. A padded headboard panel becomes the focal point, paired with simple bedside tables and decorative lighting. The wardrobe features soft pastel panels with vertical accents that add visual interest without overpowering the room. Geometric textured wall decor and flowing curtains enhance the calm ambience, while minimal décor and soft furnishings maintain a sophisticated, restful bedroom environment.

Casa Curva ultimately reflects a harmonious balance between aesthetics and everyday functionality. Thoughtfully integrated storage solutions, personalised elements, and carefully designed niches ensure that the home remains practical while maintaining its refined visual identity. The interplay of curved forms with clean linear details brings structure to the softness of the design language, resulting in a calm, cohesive atmosphere throughout the home space. This project stands as a testament to the design commitment and collaborative approach of Studio Two Bricks and AW Architects.
