Baramati- Bungalow Architecture & Interior | Lahoti and Associates | Pune
This lavish bungalow is located near Baramati, Pune. It spreads over on the plot of 2500 sq ft with the built up area of 3500 sq ft as a G+1 structure. The owner wanted to have his home more interactive and spacious. The idea was to create spaces that flow seamlessly into one another.
The sprawling porch area displays a variety of flora along with a Tulsi Vrindavan. The entrance door is resplendent with a height of 9.5 ft accompanying custom made handles.
An open plan living and dining room merge into one another, ensuring enough room to host weekly dinners for large groups of friends and family. The staircase binds all the spaces of the entire home. The focal point being the living room of double height has overlooking passage which leads to respective bedrooms. The hierarchy of spaces is well organized where no space is wasted.
The fine antique pieces of customized furniture define the richness of the space. The visual textures and patterned walls in each room add a subtle advancement to the whole minimalistic vibe of the bungalow. While the common areas of the house follow a beige and brown theme, the bedrooms are totally unique in terms of the design, materials, space organization and utility.
The wooden veneer effect in the Master bedroom with a tinge of yellow blends well with the décor. The layering up with the bed sheets, accessories and furniture on this project is fascinating to see. Adding to the grandiose there is a beautifully designed toilet of 14ft x 14ft size which includes a walk-in wardrobe finished in glass shutters and a see-through free standing Jacuzzi. One will be astounded to view the warm hues reflecting the water body leaving a soothing effect.
It was a beautiful and challenging experience where we experimented with materials, monotones, patterns and decor to create striking and different spaces.
