Wadhwa Residence | Decoreve Design Studio | Delhi
Ornated with warmth at its core, Wadhwa Residence was envisioned to feel like an oasis for the home dwellers, an abode synonymous with rejuvenation. The duplex is spread over a 1800sqft area with luxurious and royal theme décor which was nestled by Decoreve Design Studio in Kirti Nagar, West Delhi. The materiality across the home is a concoction of, different styles of furnishings, brass accents, glass, leather & fabrics ranging in various textures and hues.
The Principal Designer of Decoreve Design Studio says that the overall interior space is kept minimalistic to make the space look airy and light while meeting the aesthetically functional requirements. We made use of some of the latest in-trend interior elements – louvers, stone veneers, metal strips and rattan. The client wished to have a calm yet vibrant and comfortable living and that is what we gave them. Every furniture piece in the house is done by the design team.
ENTRANCE
The entrance door design is made up of wood with a unique geometric décor finish which is mesmerizingly eye-catching to every visitor. A lavish vestibule sets the first impression of a house with a modern console unit that is aesthetically appealing while sprinkling a little sparkle to the design is a circular mirror coupled with rattan design frames. Subtle accents like artifacts and the plain backdrop wall complete the look. This zone is a glimpse at the overall home’s arena that is carried through abundantly.
LIVING AREA
The royal living room is the personification of opulence like no other. This elegantly designed space is ideal to entertain in with its ample footprint & open layout. The white-backed fluted with stone paneling with linear work is the portion of the resistance in the room & forms the perfect backdrop in an L-shape. The capacious chesterfield grey sofas and long heightened chairs form a warm spread for the guests.
While bespoke elements like a peach lounge sofa, grand wooden ceiling & wooden framed art for windows give the space a sense of grandeur. A stone backdrop for the TV unit with metal elements and wooden batten décor complementing artifacts besides a white console unit. The Pooja area is just beside the TV unit and it is décor with vibrating elements whereas one wall in the pooja area is ornated with tree wall art, planters, and warm light fixtures.
DINING AREA
The set of tall grand royal themes continues in the dining area accentuated by a modern wooden console unit and crockery unit. The luxurious dining table with marble top, veneer, and metal inlay with modern touch stands out elegantly. And it is well highlighted by a large chandelier in the center and around the staircase. While dining chairs with grey upholstery and wooden base accentuates the theme of the house.
STAIRCASE
The designers have created an eye-catchy décor under the staircase and near the dining area. The globe light fixtures, white pebbles, and planters generate a good ambiance. While pink bird pottery artifacts complement the entire décor elements. Wooden staircase and wooden platform highlighted with glass railing and metal elements. Staircase’s walls are well décored with unique artifacts and mini planters which also emphasize the interior décor.
FIRST BEDROOM
The elegant modern bedroom is warm and welcoming; it exudes elegance and classic design. The Italian bed is highlighted with leatherette work and a modern headboard. The neutral shades of an elegant stone wall panel enhance metal strips and black panels. The plain ceiling design and furniture elements like side tables, and two modern armchairs with a coffee table accentuate the bedroom interior theme. A modernist wooden TV unit and a fluted white panel with a light fixture in a vertical pattern and a choice of material create a relaxing ambiance.
SECOND BEDROOM
The classic second bedroom décor is done in different color tones to keep up with the modern interiors. The black leatherette panel for the bed’s back wall complements the wooden side tables. The TV unit panel is ornated with a wooden panel with a grey storage unit while the dressing unit also décor with capsule shape mirror and grey storage unit. The room has a couch and an elegant ceiling design accentuates all other elements used in this bedroom.
THIRD BEDROOM
The third bedroom is a very classic space with a modern bed and a grey upholstery headboard emphasized with brass elements that follow on the side tables. While bed’s back wall is paired up with the light palette of paneling with a grove pattern. And for the TV unit follows the same paneling theme with brass elements complemented by a modern console unit. On either side of the TV unit, a huge mirror for the dressing unit is designed with modern elements.
FOURTH BEDROOM
The fourth bedroom was treated slightly differently from the rest of the house. Here designers had played with a grey-and-white concept with minimal elements. The symmetrical pattern on the bed’s back walls gives a royal look to the bedroom. The rattan works vintage design and side tables with a vintage theme accentuate the décor elements. Even the TV unit design is also different from the rest of the bedroom, grey paneling with a jali pattern and a contemporary console unit creates a good ambiance.
The overall concept was to bring in the ‘luxe’ factor by using luxurious materials like metal elements and stone but in a calm and understated manner. Spectacular with its wall panelling that act as a backdrop to some artwork, and the choice of materials makes quite a bold statement. This was purposely done to add a sense of playfulness and royal theme that was running through the entire house. And this villa stands true to the calmness of spaces and the honesty of materials.
