Architecture is creating spaces that speak to us.”- The client’s requirement was an elegant-looking, contemporary villa in which the ambience reflects a calm and positive vibe. Residence 2511 encapsulates the perfect blend of modernity and nature Nestled by DA Design Studio located in Mohali, Punjab. 6600 sq. ft., area catalysed the process of planning the eye-pleasing structure and walkways linking to the building. This modern villa strikes a balance between aesthetics and organised forms.
The Principal Architects Ar. Didar Singh Brar and Ar. Amnik Singh says that Residence 2511 is a one-of-a-kind luxury house that boasts an open design concept with suspended walls that provide a sense of spaciousness and airiness. The house is designed with the concept of “less is more” in mind, with only the bedroom toilets and drawing room covered with full walls. This gives the house a unique and unconventional look while also maximizing the use of space. The suspended walls allow natural light to flow into the house, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere.
A structure with a simple yet aesthetic façade design, it breaks the public and private spaces into two floors of planning. The front elevation is kept minimal with a warm colour palette and stone cladding to allow the glory and context to amalgamate to set the tone for the structure. To accomplish maximum physical and visual connection between the interior and exterior, designers use frames for glass doors to develop intelligent details where it meets the walls and floors lined with different elements. The house interiors with tranquil lighting at all levels are designed as minimal in the visual and textural senses while keeping the idea of luxury intact. Whereas it also gives a hint of the eye-soothing interior through the glass façade where visitors can see a huge modern curve chandelier.
The double-height foyer with a huge modern chandelier makes a warm welcoming ambience, lighting fixtures and a wooden main door add to the sense of arrival. The architects conceptualized an open living, dining, and kitchen area along with maintaining privacy.
The amazing floating partitions just create a remarkable structure in this living area. Leatherette sofas and ottomans sitting with modern leatherette black top centre table complimenting the interior décor. An elegant wooden TV unit panelling with highlighting linear elements complements the white storage unit. A modern-classic ceiling décor is well emphasized by a modern chandelier.
The dining area is acted as a central core with a modern unique chandelier and elegant ceiling design. To allow an influx of bright lighting fixtures which create a good ambience. A marble-top dining table accentuates dual-tone leatherette chairs, the entire set-up looks very luxurious and royal. whereas walls near the dining area are highlighted with different décor elements and material palettes.
The kitchen interiors follow a subtle colour scheme, highlighting the luxurious Italian marble flooring, rich materials, and exquisite décor details. The entire design process revolved around highlighting the carefully crafted kitchens and making them stand out in the space. The kitchen is decked with its modular units, white platforms and countertops, and built-in storage accentuates with an elegant interior theme.
Designers creatively design two different styles of staircases which are high spots of this residence. The staircase of the lower level is well-ornated with a glass railing and a white material palette. While a wooden platform and lighting fixtures add charm to the décor. Whereas the upper-level staircase is crafted with a wooden element in a twist-n-turn theme which creates an eye-catchy interior decoration.
The entertainment area defines a new association space for the members of the house. The stunning furniture in the shades’ elegant material palette blends tremendously with the hues of beige and white curtains. The pretty decorative elements in every corner go well with the chic adornment. The modern circular lighting and symmetrical ceiling design used here make users feel very energetic and expedient.
All the bedrooms of this villa are beautiful and functional in design which offers a luxurious and comfortable living experience. Keeping the distinct style of bedroom furnishings amalgamation of modern and graceful furniture pieces creates a serene and elegant interior space. The gracious walk-in wardrobe along with the bathroom maintains the luxuriousness and royal feeling. A few personal touches offer a comfortable space for users. The Italian marble gives a rich appearance to the house floor along with the bathroom stylishly. Some amazing looks have been created on the walls through the different shades of tile cladding. While the black and white theme for furniture and sanitary fittings adds charm to this interior space.
Architects creatively design this terrace area where family and friends can party and enjoy the openness. The bar placements allow the users to perform several activities comfily as well as relax in the calm atmosphere. The bar and storage unit are well ornated with granite in a dual tone which is well accentuated with the selected flooring texture. The use of earthy tones for the platform and ceiling makes the area feel big while lighting fixtures add glory at the same time. The appearance of patterns highlights the wall and inaugurates a relation with the overall lingo of the residence.
The materials used in the construction of the house are subtle in color, including stone like Gwalior mint, and stone-finished tiles for the exterior, which lend an elegant and refined look to the overall design. The minimal form of the house follows the singular aesthetic while surprising visitors with contrasting wall elements. The house features a grand and spacious double-height main door that provides a sense of grandeur, while the roof comes with a bar, making it perfect for entertaining guests or spending a relaxing evening with family.
