Cube House | LG Associates | Bhavnagar

This is a contemporary modern cube house designed by LG Associates an architectural design firm amidst the urban vicinity of Bhavnagar, Gujarat with timeless architecture and interiors in a 7000 sq. ft., area. This cube house is ornated by geometrical patterns that look very artistic, leaving the areas acting as positive see-through spaces supported by eye-soothing material pallets and glass. The play of planes, solids, and voids is the villa’s most striking beauty, making it very stylish and elegant in visual appeal due to the suitable material pallet defined.

The Principle Architects share that The idea was to create a homely environment that is comfortable yet stylish and therefore each corner of the house is designed with utmost care towards making it very comfortable and satisfactory but also luxurious and aesthetically pleasing. This ideal contemporary house is a perfect representation of the architectural language that the firm follows; clean, straight-line, and minimalist.

The cubicles are slid tactfully over each other, keeping space for skylights open to brightness well. The exterior and interior sink into each other to achieve the feel and character of the space. Designerbeing very trendy in its taste has explored its concept based on the raw earthy feel of modern Indian designs fusing with a contemporary and classic theme. It renders a soothing artistic effect to the entire interior ornamentation giving a thematic touch to the designed architectural spaces.

The villa was envisioned as a single unit, with a spacious garden, deck, and parking. The openness of the front garden balances the cubical mass and allows for extended gatherings and family events. The Front garden and rear side garden area with wall inbuilt fountain act as a multifunctional space, where the family spends quality time on pleasant mornings and evenings. The lawns connect one to nature adding flavour to everyday life.

LIVING AREA

Firstly, when one enters the foyer, one will get mesmerized by the intricately designed ceiling and pendant which acts as a modern definition of the arrival to the entrance. The living area sits amidst the lush green of the landscape on one side. The glass facades of this particular area make one feel like a part of the landscape even when inside the house. A visually alluring double-height space extends the volume of the house vertically in the living area elegantly complementing a huge modern crystal chandelier and ceiling design.

One wall in this living area is ornated with 3 pieces of climbing sculpture wall art. The mustard leatherette sofas and modern wooden centre tables add charm to the interior décor while wooden framings for the glass façade and partition give an earthy feeling. On either side of the sofas modern wooden TV unit is allured with artefacts and pendent lights selected by the designers.

DINING AREA

The Dining Area plays to the light, giving a cheery ambience to meal times with a white and yellow theme. The modern crockery and storage unit wall graciously acts as the backdrop for the Dining space and exudes spaciousness. The design lets natural light hog the limelight literally, with the glass openings for the dining area above. The modern wooden dining table with a white top accentuated with yellow dining chairs. While symmetrical modern wooden ceiling design and series of pendant lights add a luxe factor to this dining area.

KITCHEN

The kitchen space looks compatible with the entire aesthetic interior and for that, the fresh bursts of yellow and white colour give a luxurious look to the kitchen. A symmetrical design of cabinets with light colour kitchen platform while one wall is ornated with marble texture wall cladding and a see-through glass screen with wooden battens adds charm to the kitchen area. A spacious modular kitchen and an elegant ceiling design add brightening effects to this area.

MANDIR AREA

The Mandir area is placed on the ground floor which spreads positivity all over the ambience. The most striking feature of these spaces is the presence of ample natural light brought via the open-to-sky theme, which is elegantly highlighted with floral décor and bells to give the mandir area a warm and fresh feel. A sense of vernacularism is achieved through the traditional floral leafing artwork with OM design done in the sober white palette and emphasised the wooden framing and storage unit. Either side wall, in turn, brings the focus onto the articulated panelling that steals the show with circular mirrors and console unit with artefacts.

PARENT’S BEDROOM

The parent’s bedroom on the ground floor is designed using a splash of earthy tone to the all-white decor giving a pleasant and cosy aesthetic to the space. It was designed with a stunning bed’s back wall art as a focal element. The ceiling design and wardrobe design were consciously done to add a chic touch to the space. While lighting fixtures and artefacts complement each other elements.

MASTER BEDROOM 1

The master bedroom on the ground floor is an understated luxury and exuberance in a highly modern style and technique. The glass balcony doors bring in ample sunlight all day, ensuring it gives a feel of the charm and charisma in this space. Wooden furniture like a bed, side tables and wardrobes is elegant décor with eye-pleasing effects. The bed’s back wall is emphasised with symmetrical mirror décor which is well complemented with floral curtains and wooden framings. While contemporary ceiling design and lighting fixtures add an eye-catching décor.

MASTER BEDROOM 2

In today’s modern world, the designer has envisioned recreating a timeless small world within – which heals all the stress via designing blue elements. Bright walls in this second master bedroom on the first floor along with earthy panelling give it unique in its sense with a very subtle and soothing colour scheme. Blue leatherette sofa, couch and bed headboard create eye-catching decorative elements. while modern bed design and bed’s back texture panelling accentuate the earthy palettes. Even the walk-in wardrobe also décor with a contemporary theme with modern ceiling design.

FAMILY LOUNGE AREA

Designer being very trendy in its taste has tried its interior concept in this family lounge area. The raw earthy feel which elegantly includes wooden furniture and an ethnic console unit renders a soothing artistic effect to the entire interior setting an enigmatic effect. The overall design in this family lounge area had to be very gentle with an eye-pleasing modern sofa and ceiling design.

KIDS’ BEDROOM

Kids’ bedroom Subtle pastel colours create a soothing effect in this bedroom and the pop colour of their toys, rug, and a custom-made Canvas painting by House Of Art adds a charm to it. A white wall for the study which is well-ornated with colourful drawers. The villa is complete in itself as it has a good amount of green and open spaces and access to natural light even for the kids’ bedroom. The thematic modern bed design and ceiling décor complemented with a climbing ceiling lighting fixture.

GUEST BEDROOM

The interior of the guest bedroom is very minimalistic and elegant. The design of this bedroom is to ensure that it matches the requirements of guests. It is an interesting blend of simple lines and cosiness. The soft and cheerful shades of light blue, white, and light wood complement each other. While the ceiling décor is an eye-soothing ornamentation with lighting fixtures adds allure to the décor.

NIGHT VIEW

LG Associates make sure that the night view of a luxurious CUBE HOUSE should be an eye-soothing ornamentation. The play of different styles of lighting fixtures on walls, façade, doors, and windows adds dramatic elements at night view. And this enables us to break standardized thinking and gives a sense of individuality to any built form as designers believe that architecture can reflect a personality.

The whole house is given a personalized touch, individually for each space, making it the best possible place to reside for life. The interior theme is made soothing through elegant and ethnic choices of fabrics in the curtains and furniture. For the exterior with careful considerations and design thinking in the process, a simple geometric mass shape was chosen and detailed in such a way with many interesting elements.

For each project, LG Associates Gujarat-based architectural design firm led by Jatin Gohil, Amit Langalia, and Krutarth Gohil establishes relationships with their clients who know will help them to create added value for their project. They undertake projects based on permanently applying values that reinforce each other: experiential, building-technical, and modern materialistic values. This way of working allows us to raise their project to a higher level. In their firm, it is the client who decides on the elements of the interior. They only refine their clients’ ideas and express them through various components of interior and exterior design. LG Associates has a team of experts to shape the clients’ dreams. The outcome in the form of language and form is the bonus whether it was residential or commercial projects.
