A 3BHK 1800 sq. ft. apartment space for a young NRI couple aspired to a celebrated Indian space when they visited India. A space which is calm but at the same time, it can be transformed into a place for celebration. Built around the human experience, this residence expands spatial boundaries to structure light and environment around daily life. Nested on the river banks, the residence gets the opportunity for being cheerful and relaxing ambient at the same time. This tropical residence utilizes modernist ideas to create open, picturesque places to live.


From the first visual perception, one might have a hint towards a splendidly combined colour palette with subtle furniture, and the nature’s blending atmosphere gives away tropical vibes throughout the whole residence. The admission of ample light into all parts of the house, illuminating the interior to be as bright as the exterior, thereby creating a seamless experience of enjoying the various spaces and the respective moods that these spaces induce. The Living Area
In the spans of the living area, the full floor-to-ceiling sliding doors create a pleasant thermal sensation and blur the division between interior and exterior. Natural elements like indoor plants and hanging plant veils bring in tropical vibes into the house. The walls are adorned with scenic art pieces, making the entire place cozy, comfortable, and organic. The touch of natural scenery paintings as art adds vibrancy to it and brightens up the place.


The classy living space facing the huge balcony receives an ample amount of light which leads to picking off a subtle light colour pallet for the interiors. The stylish sofa sittings allow you the utmost comfort for relaxing and enjoying with friends and family. The false ceiling is kept light according to the lingo of the residence with the use of modern light fixture accentuate to the design. The sobber design of the TV unit on off-white wall looks so elegant and desirable. The mood lighting used in the interior creates a cozy atmosphere.



Balcony
At the very least a decked balcony running along the river-facing facade with a vertical garden and warm rustic rope hanging lights completes the tropical look. This warm, welcoming balcony allows the users to spend quality time with their family with a magnificent view. Deep lavish brown and grey furniture combined with light-hued wood sets as a statement style.



The Dining Area
In the dining area, where everyone gets together, designers wanted to make sure it feels the best comfort and high quality. Continuing with the living room colour theme, the dining area consists of a wooden table with a glass top placed in the center surrounded by dark-toned grey chairs, enhancing the area. A serene dining table which can seat 4 is placed next to the living room, near to the kitchen. It complements the interior décor of the space and creates an almost ethereal experience.


The Kitchen Area
Hence, designers opened up the kitchen, but to maintain visual segregation they placed the dining table and breakfast counter in such a way that it defines the space pleasantly. The modular kitchen area designed adjacent to it, follows the tropical peach colour theme through the cabinets, fully equipped with modern kitchenware and appliances. The kitchen is accompanied by a little breakfast area that is contemporary and stylistic. Its tall wooden counter, bar stools and hanging goblets with planters create the ethnic look.

Bedrooms
The first bedroom is about soft understated elegance which is effortlessly showcased in an interplay of different colour tones along with various textures in a soothing colour scheme of yellow and earthy brown furniture, dark blue and muted grey furnishings. Designers wanted to create a soothing, tranquil environment that ushers to slow down and appreciate the variation. It’s a confluence of subtle element, calmness, and everyday luxury-living done in an inimitable style. Bird art on bed’s front wall and modern console unit accentuate with the flooring and rug. All the elements in the bedroom looks classy and elegant décor.




The second bedroom was to have a classy and elegant look, designers used the concept of extended headboard with inbuilt lamps on the side tables. The earthy tones of flooring and brown furniture with muted grey accentuate the entire space of the bedroom. While the off-white wall adores the wall paintings with light fixtures, which adds elegancy to the décor. While planters add earthy feeling to the bedroom space.



The third bedroom is tranquilizing with its soft and subtle outlook. An elegant design of bed takes its place against a wide window wall, adding to the soothing vibe of the space. Over the top, the styling introduces the space to other compelling hues such as blue and aqua- thus, nullifying the tedium. Mounted light fixture on both the side tables make it more unique décor with the modern bed design. The colour scheme of grey and earthy brown is reflective on the flooring, and imparts a sense of equilibrium to the users. By following the theme designers design wardrobe elegantly which also compliments the bed furnishings.




Designers of the firm, i-con Architects & Urban Planners make sure that the bedrooms continue this haptic theme of having a light, airy feel with warm, cheerful, and sophisticated colours combined with complimentary blinds, tables, and dark-toned furniture, which meets the client’s desire for rooms that are functional, and relaxed. The walls adorned with beautiful paintings, photo frames, and other art pieces add more life to the home. The house is well-organized and efficient in terms of space, with defined zoning that allows for both family life and individual privacy. This house was created expressly to be a magnificent backdrop to this family’s lives, integrating art, landscape, and natural comfort.
