Rare Earth, Tower 5 | Suchi U Agarwal | Kolkata

This beautiful, spacious and airy 2700 sq. ft. 3bhk apartment is nestled amidst the heart of Kolkata designed by Suchi U Agarwal. The apartment design is inspired by keeping a modern and contemporary concept along with minimalistic furniture, muted ceilings, soft and ambient lighting. It’s a perfect blend of modern design with a hint of striking bold colours to accentuate the palette. With an elegant setup, this home endures into, and it flows out a very pleasant appeal with its monochromatic tones.

The family of 3 couples and children wanted the home to be neat, functional, easy-to-maintain and aesthetically-pleasing. So, while designing this home, space management was a major concern. All necessary steps were needed to be taken for space management and also to maintain the aesthetics. A very important decision was taken to convert the mandir space provided by the promoter into a store room or a utility room, mandir was shifted in the living room and placed in between the living area and dining area. – said by the Principal Designer.

ENTRANCE

A comfortably blended home with an entrance which is grand, classical and opens into a warmly welcomes guest in. The main door is design with stripes boiserie décor while glossy panel used as a highlighter. While wall art and cabinets for shoes compliment the foyer décor.

LIVING ROOM

It is beautiful and well-spaced out living room is a perfect blend of Contemporary Design Style which features a lot of wood, velvet and marble with a touch of gold. Beige Italian floor compliments the sofa’s back wall panel in light tone with a velvet upholstery pattern which blends beautifully, while a golden belt adds charm to this decor. With the grey velvet upholstery sofas and couch provides a backdrop to the wall decor. While the white modern center table accentuates it with a beautiful abstract patterned rug. Italian marble highlight over the T.V. unit wall and compliments the same themed console TV unit. While a patterned mirror on both sides of the TV unit grants a visual distinction on a marble panel on the wall.

DINING AREA

The white dining table top with a pattern follows the theme of décor. The cream upholstered chairs with a wooden base compliments the white tabletop. A multi-tube grey upholstered wall panel with a golden belt accentuates the dining section with a beautiful console unit. While an elegant ceiling design compliments the dining area.

KITCHEN AREA

The kitchen lies adjacent to the dining room, while the designer used a sliding door for the kitchen to maintain privacy. Multifunctional and maintenance-free kitchen with ultra-modern storage systems that is customized to suit the specific needs of the client. The counter length provides ample working space.  The built-in appliances make the kitchen efficient and clutter-free. This is a perfect combination of a modern and minimalistic kitchen with ample utility space.

MANDIR AREA

A mandir has to be a space that surpasses all the stressful vibes and emits soothing energy. With this intention, the mandir is placed in between the living and dining area to play its part over the subtle wall décor and furnishings with geometry pattern. The temple has a unique design with an intertwined simplicity and sophistication. While a beautiful chandelier adds luxe and compliments the elegant ceiling design.

PASSAGE

A well decor passage from the living room leading to the bedrooms. A sleek inbuilt console with a granite top in a narrow passageway makes it an elegant look, without cluttering up the space. Framed hallway abstract pictures and mirrors with geometric patterns brighten up the space, while the same pattern in ceiling design complement the graceful setting. The series of pendant lights create a magical aura and make the ceiling more beautiful.

FIRST BEDROOM

A classic combination of floral wallpaper and a velvet upholstered headboard bed in an arched shape with warm lights lends a luxe factor to the bedroom.  The grey fluted wall panels add charm with curved mirrors black framed. The pair of lay window seating upholstered and curtain in a dark tone fabric look elegant with simple ceiling design. The beige bed furniture compliments the wardrobe design of the bedroom. While the TV unit is décor with rustic grey panels with a grove pattern compliments the white flooring.

SECOND BEDROOM

In the second bedroom the brown fluted pattern makes a dashing impact with metal floral wall art on white backdrop. While peach velvet headboard compliments the wall décor with warm light. White furniture of bed and wardrobe complete the look of this elegant bedroom. The TV unit wall is highlight with wall paper white accentuates with the elegant ceiling design. While contrast colour tone curtain breaks the monotony of the bedroom theme.

THIRD BEDROOM

The third bedroom is designed with deep blue velvet upholstery on a high headboard that adds charm to the decor. The contrasting white marble finished tile placed with symmetrical lines adds boldness and drama to the overall space. While glossy finished furniture like wardrobe, bed and TV unit cabinets compliment the flooring. The same tone curtain and elegant ceiling design accentuates the bedroom space.

FOURTH BEDROOM

The fourth bedroom is snug, simplistic, and adaptive in its interior decor. With a white headboard with a pattern and a vertical grid pattern panel gives a modern appearance. Opposite wall of bed is well décor with wallpaper and white multi-tubes on wall with sitting near window is the highlight of the bedroom. The combination of wallpaper and curtain makes the room more elegant. While wardrobe design breaks the monotony of the light theme of the bedroom, it complements the interior décor.

This apartment has all of it; a pleasant colour palette, rich materials with fine overall detailing to the décor. The idea was to create a shell from the outside, where our client finds peace. Each furniture element is designed by interior designer Suchi U Agarwal, and consists of the dressing table, wardrobe, sleek minimal TV unit, textured walls lend a luxe factor to all the bedrooms.  The attached bathroom is minimal in design, using glossy effect tile with a countertop basin.

Suchi U Agarwal and team of interior designer, is a Kolkata-based interior studio firm. It mainly deals with projects like Residences, Farmhouse, Interior, Commercial and Planning. Their aim is to provide a better design concept with an economical construction cost that satisfies the demand, luxury, and budget of the client. The main aspects of firm design are to deal with space and nature, which are combined in a perfect way to give a pleasant feeling and space that satisfies both nature and client.
