A Malappuram-based design firm, Architect Arshak an architectural design studio, ornated this interior of Skyline Legend, a 4BHK apartment which is located in Kochi. Décor of a modern and contemporary concept along with modest furniture, muted ceilings, and soft ambient lighting. The theme of the house is kept modern with clean lines, minimal design elements, and the use of a selective palette of materials and colors. Beautiful wall paintings with a touch of wooden and black frames have been dangled. To give a bigger impact and more room for natural light ceiling has been kept muted.
The Principal Architect, Ar. Arshak Ali says that “The project, located in Kochi, features a modern and minimalist design aesthetic, with a focus on functionality and maximizing the use of space. The use of natural materials, textures, and a neutral color palette creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. A simple brief from the client that they want to have a clutter-free space and elegant apartment interiors.”
FOYER
The entrance is marked by a massive door veneer finish with a modern elegant touch. The foyer creates a sense of luxe factor with a beautifully marble cladded wall & artistic mirror. A singular modern console unit commands attention amidst the marble soiree. Flecks of gold in the form of accessories glam up the space. The graceful foyer opens into a well-proportioned living & family sitting area that is elegantly furnished with understated furniture.
Living Area
The living room exudes elegance through marble and wooden finishes, layered with sophisticated furnishings. This space is flooded with natural light throughout the day, creating a cheerful ambiance. A marble cladding wall creates an eye-soothing deco over the golden touch with wall art which creates a luxurious look. While ethnic with a modern touch a wooden console compliments the décor. On either side of the textured wall paneling and wall art grant a visual distinction. A Modern sofa and grey upholstery chairs emphasized by the modern elegant ceiling design and a modern chandelier.
Family Sitting Area
The Family sitting area is considered one of the important places in the house while a wooden console unit is visually separated the royal living and family sitting areas. The highlight of the room is the wooden vertical paneling and marble cladded wall to make it look interesting. While a wooden cabinet and a console unit give the perfect look for a family sitting area. Texture, ceiling décor, and chandelier create drama in the room with an essence of a cozy ambiance. The plush material of the L-shape sofa and a modern chair adds luxury and comfort to the space.
Dining Area
Upon arrival in the house dining table is just adjacent to the foyer. So, the designer smartly ornated the modern and elegant partition with a wooden framework. While the use of cane work in the partition adds charm to the interior décor. The minimalist marble dining top with a heavy base for the dining table, paired up with different blue hues tufted chairs compliments its textured wall paneling. A geometrical ceiling style with a modern chandelier compliments the dining area.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom has been given the language of a fashionable elegant style. The combination of white and grey goes well with the small touch of wooden elements. The backdrop has got dignified rectangular shapes in an embossed finish that appears to be very exquisite. The grey modern headboard accentuates with modern side tables. While light fixtures add elegance to the bedroom wall décor.
The marble cladding TV unit wall with white furniture creates a good ambiance with a modern chair with a footrest in the corner. Wooden framing for the balcony door emphasizes blind curtains. The ceiling is again kept elegant with a golden band. The attached dressing has come out to be a gorgeous spot in the room due to the admirable detailing done on the furniture.
Second Bedroom
Rich veins in the grey texture marble wall cladding with beautiful wall art create a dramatic backdrop to the bedroom. Also, the curtains’ niches creatively break the solidity of the wall and the leatherette bed design gives an astonishing charm to the room. A modern wooden working desk and a round cushioned stool add elegance to the bedroom interior. The dark grey sliding wardrobe with black glass compliments the ceiling design and all other elements.
All the bedrooms opted for a modern color and ornamenting scheme wherein variations of textures are used for walls and furniture. The material palette is calm and has eye-soothing elements. The furniture is functional and minimalistic with an elementary appeal. The lighting for the bedrooms was kept white with warm diffuse lighting in the ceiling. With a design approach that breaks conventions yet is balanced and fit for the context, this home looks stunning and endearingly real.
Skyline Legend apartment takes a thorough design approach with its spatial organization to give back an all-inclusive residence to the client.
