I.H.B. Salon | Aditya Sutaria Architects | Surat, Gujarat
This 500 sq. ft commercial space was envisioned by the client as a unisex salon which also acts like an informal academy for training purposes. The core idea intended behind planning the space is of an connected yet private areas with multiple uses during the course of the day.
The clients insisted on having a unique theme to their salon which can be associated with their service. keeping that in mind a subtle yet striking colour palette of matt finish red and slate grey has been used on all surfaces. The fusion of slate grey and exposed ceiling with suspended lights has been cleverly used to develop a raw informal theme well visible from the road outside.
The display unit has been the core feature of the space designed to highlight products accompanied by artifacts. with the site having glazing on two walls, ample natural light has been carefully integrated to give the space a character and also to add on the work from home feels. The overall tone of the space is set such that clients can come relax as well as the magic of education can also be taken place tranquilly.
