Hues of Grey | Dilip Sharma & Associates | Vadodara
In hues of grey, we had to work on a simple brief given by the client which was to design a living for 3 generations of the family. The challenges we faced while designing were the size of the plot was not so big and the vastu centric influence on designing moulded the structure.
It is a house with a colour palette of grey and dark wooden inserts. It is also a good use of white giving it an open and arid illustration with a contemporary look to the whole project.
Starting with the ground floor, it included a living space, a dining area, a puja room and also a bedroom for the grandparents moving further the First Floor we accommodated our client’s bedroom and the daughter’s room, the client had a keen eye for green spaces hence the spill-out zone was created to accommodate their evening tea sessions. As we move to the second floor which has one bed room for the son and a lower terrace.
The house has a lot of natural lights throughout the day. Also, the colour tones used were basically grey and warmth is added by darker wooden elements. The entire project was completed in just 9 months with the help of our efficient team.
