MH Workshop | Maanavi Homes | Surat
Situated amidst the hustle-bustle of Surat, Maanavi Homes has a 12,000 sq. ft. experience centre that has a dedicated display for their bespoke pieces of furniture. It was established in February 2018 by Aman Bansal and Ar. Vivek Agarwal with its first experience centre unveiling on 2nd February 2021.
The brand specialises in fine craftsmanship with beautiful pieces of furniture. Their main aim is to be part of the bigger revolution, which is “Make in India” and they have a team of skilled local artisans that contribute to the same cause. Another important aspect of Maanavi Homes is their ability to customise the furniture, right from the fabric, colour, dimensions to the material. Everything is customisable.
Meant to double-hat as an office and a client experience centre, the place has a display of their custom-made chairs, sofas, dining table, consoles, coffee tables, nightstands, and beds. It was planned and executed together by the founder duo themselves.
To prevent cluttering and derangement, the space is divided into separate areas. For an immersive experience, various zones were created for specific categories including the living room, dining area, bedroom and foyer. A setting that proves the beautiful cohesion of individual furniture and how each furniture also retains its diverse soul.
Colours formed the foundation of the centre. A visually pleasing palette that adds to the sophistication of the place was used. The centre also has bespoke artefacts and mirrors that adorn the walls.
Stepping inside the centre feels like stepping inside a real house with large windows shaded by gorgeous curtains, planters that add the green element, and soft furnishing by brands like Address Home, Maspar, Spaces, Warwick, D Decor, and their very own custom cushions which complete the alluring setup.
Elevations are used smartly, such as a special elevated display for their dining chairs, a glass display that contains different designs and finishes of furniture legs. The centre has an open display that features various PTT finishes, stone carving samples, and PVD finishes. The additional storage space at their space includes fabrics, mother of pearl, glass, foam, veneer, brass, and gold leafing samples.
The MHWorkshop is just adjacent to the experience centre, making it easy for regular quality checks on furniture in production while simultaneously they have an R&D team that takes care of both the ergonomic and the aesthetic parts of the design.
The brand does not rely on the industrial production concept, it makes use of its own production cycles that depend on manual skills. The handcrafted quality of their furniture is a celebration of the craftsmanship that went into making it. Maanavi Homes’ team of designers strives to stay up to date with current and upcoming trends & technologies in their respective fields.
The coming together of all the elements of design at Maanavi Homes makes it one of the most immersive experience centres in India.
