Many of the challenges faced by us during the design process but we always find solutions what the actual problems faced by the client during their old office premises by interacting with them throughout the process of design and make sure the execution happens as per our drawing and instruction to achieve good project outcome. – Said by Designer.
A solace extent is a modular office derived from the design concept of a healthy environment, minimalistic approach and the ideology of keeping the material palette natural & simple. This workspace was created with the idea of natural and fresh decor that is not only ready to impress but also encourages improved life quality of the staff working on screens day and night. The design element of brick wall and metal frame cabinet for artifacts and awards is warmest space for the office and enhances waiting.
The office is designed in such a way that it allows freedom of thought and movement while engaging the employees with the spatial elements. The furniture in this space is layered with metal above, this metal black outline is specifically created for easy transportation and reassembling of the furniture elements and for easy installation according to any shifted new space. The introduction of soft and gentle curves achieves a perfect balance between the bold metal grid and the volume of the furniture. Comfortable furniture in neutral shades enhance the spatial quality of space and creates balance.
In terms of materiality exposed brick and concrete have been used to give a raw and rustic look. To Compliment the earthy aesthetic, warm wooden textured veneer is used along with tones of beige and other subdued colours. This design is tailored to fulfil the user’s needs – this led to maximised user satisfaction.
Transparency and openness amongst the cabin were a requirement, Thus the extensive use of glass partition dividing the entire office space. Bold architectural ceiling geometry complimented by Metal, forms an understated workspace. The interior of the office is bare and exposed with textured patterns and exposed ceiling to make the space look larger.
The orientation is such that majority of the openings face towards the south western direction allowing natural light to penetrate throughout the day. Apart from daylight, the layout of the office also optimises the view of the city for its users.
The free flow curves ultimately smoothen the user’s vision and depict the continuity and grace of the space. The serene mood is uplifted by the touch of fresh green soft furnishing customized sofas at the waiting area and director’s cabin respectively. Air purifying and low maintenance Sansevieria plants placed within a proportionate metal grid box at the center of the space acts as a semi-private partition between the director’s cabin and the working staff area.
All the furniture’s in this space are made with precision and minute detailing be it the wavy wooden evenly carved handcrafted shutters at the staff zone or the director’s main table accurately designed with stone top with metal veneer and complimented it with semi-circular leather sofa. Cantilever cabinets at the main cabin acts as a backdrop of the owner. Portable furniture, air-purifying plants, innovative use of space planning and material palate meets the challenge of this workspace.
