Lachwad – The Classic Home | Kalpavriksh Architects | Vile Parle, Mumbai
A rare amalgamation of Royal and Contemporary, the project is knotted by Kalpavriksh Architects, a leading design firm. The residential apartment located in Vile Parle; Mumbai features a modern contemporary design with an area of 1200 sq. ft. Enchanting the rhythms of clean slated lines in the house pronouncing the statement ‘Home is where the family lives in’. An epitome of luxury each space is crafted with elegance and nurtured with care alluring the chic yet sophisticated ambiance that includes three bedrooms, and a large sitting area possessing a blend of hues much suited to the form and functionality of the theme.
The Principal Architect, Vaibhavi Shah stated that the core idea that has driven the design of the house is to create a feeling of spaciousness whilst accommodating all the requirements of the end user. The goal was to enhance the fenestration, such that it facilitates the optimum perception of the space and ensures the maximum amount of natural light and ventilation, thereby extending the indoor space visually. The material palette has been kept quite simple and natural and the color scheme is cool-toned neutral. The fluidity of the spaces has been kept intact, such that it enhances connectivity and openness.
Entrance
With its simple design principles and an amiable use of materials, a project validating the use of a decent and justifiable material palette to outline the sublime spatial characteristics is what the entrance door design represents. Square patterns on the entrance door create an impressive element. While large handles for the doors are the highlights and complement the décor. As guests enter the house, the patterned wooden ceiling and ambiance create an impression of a welcoming element.
Living Room
Unique and contemporary theme living area feels the natural light breathes through every nook and corner. The semi-circular sofa in the living room is overwhelmed with little elements and complements the center table. Living Room is warm, cozy, and rich in textures, with selected flooring tiles giving an enlarged look to the space. While Pattachitra wall art set and light fixture accentuate the theme of the living room décor.
The wall of a TV unit is kept sober which is well highlighted with a modern storage unit which gives a classic decor factor to this area. The right placement with the choice of artifacts completes the look & feel of this living area. While selecting fabric for furniture and curtains complementing lighting fixtures.
Dining Area
The dining area is adjacent to the living area with a graceful decor. For this elegant dining area, designers smartly paired the windows with a modern dining table and chairs, blending well with the all-white kitchen theme. An elegantly wooden ceiling and wood paneling with a grove pattern accentuate the dining table. The dining area is well-lit by two modern focus lighting fixtures. A marble-top dining table with a wooden base and wooden dining chairs create a pleasing ambiance in this area.
Kitchen Area
A space-maximized white kitchen design in this luxury elegant house looks wonderful! The client wanted every corner of the kitchen space to be utilized. That is precisely why designers gave them customized white units and cabinets that extend to the ceiling. While the service window adds modernity to this décor. When space is compact, white can make kitchen design look spacious while glossy, reflective finishes create the illusion of space. The gorgeous light beige tiles backsplash adds a much-needed highlight. The designer smartly places a mandir in the corner of the kitchen.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom uses an overwhelmingly multicolor abstract wooden headboard creating an eye-catchy décor with a beautiful painting. The wooden furniture designs here are simple to ensure timeless visual comfort throughout the stay. A curved window bay sitting with storage to integrate a crafty and easy-to-maintain interior accent.
An embossed décor elegant wardrobe with wooden handles complements the entire décor. And designers smartly placed the dressing area behind the bed’s wall to emphasize the space.
The spatial aesthetics for this home are all about continuity in elemental language, colours, textures and materials that create a spatial flow in master bathroom which visual expanse. All the artifacts, wall cladded tiles and lighting choice has been derivative of this thought.
Son’s Bedroom
The Son’s bedroom is a stated sanctuary for its users that has an earthy material palette accentuated with an elegant linear pattern. The segmented vertical pattern wooden headboard and side table, give it a sleek character. A modern wooden wardrobe design perfectly added to the theme of an earthy palette. A study table along with window bay sitting are key highlights of this bedroom. A room truly fit for clients who love to live maximally!
Third Bedroom
This bedroom bears a visual palette formed primarily of wooden goodness. The custom geometric grid headboard bears make the vignette royal indeed when paired with the elegant wall. Similarly, this bedroom study desk and window bay sitting add a sense of minimalism to the composition. An elegant wooden wardrobe creates a good ambiance in the bedroom. All over elements of the bedroom gives a luxe factor ambiance.
The washrooms are designed with elegant tiles accompanied by earthy palette that stimulate with muted colour and pattern. The Designer has designed this area not to just add pomp and luxury but invite warm and elegant. Less is more here successfully balance the scales of various elements to create harmony.
