Sonkar Residence – Residential Villa In Wallfort City | Knapsack Design Studio | Raipur, Chhattisgarh
A fully automated house that exhibits royalty in all its glory architectural structure and interior residential villa which is located in Wall Fort City, Raipur in Chhattisgarh. This villa is perfectly knotted by Knapsack Design Studio with timeless elements which reflect the client’s lifestyle. The design uses elements of solid wood, marble, and glass to create a comfortable feeling. The facade showcases a certain simplicity of modernism through a combination of clean horizontal & vertical lines.
The Principal Designer, Priya Agarwal shares that A sweet family of five, foreign to the nuances of intrinsic interior designs, demanded a fusion of a royal and relaxing vibe. Keeping only these two factors in mind, every single element has been placed, and every alignment has been made. The whole abode is fully automated and designed to exude a monarchic, serene, and enlivening feel.
The exterior is sleek with an arched theme that blends into the openings of the indoor and outdoor spaces. The color palette includes carefully selected muted shades, white, solid wood, and marble cladded walls along with splashes of green – carefully positioned landscape space creatively. This aesthetic house with a lush landscape design offers a calm aura to the users, where materials like concrete façade, solid wood, and marble are visible on the elevation to emphasize the character.
ENTRANCE
The entry is designed in a warm, inviting way by using a steel inlay with a PU finish;
accentuated with an alluring metal nameplate. While a beautiful wood console unit with planters and ceiling décor near the entrance complements each other. At the entrance, guests are greeted with massive marble, stone, and solid wood-cladding walls with grove patterns complemented elegantly. Dove palette massive main door with decorative cut-out patterns complemented with a warm lighting fixture.
FOYER
When guests enter the foyer, they will be greeted with a warm welcoming console table which is highlighted with modern mirror décor and artifacts. While ceiling décor and wall paneling create an eye catchy décor. A modern chandelier and planters create a good ambiance. All the elements in the foyer complement the selected flooring material.
LIVING AREA
Mauve pink wall-covering by Sabyasachi and the mesmerizing resin art is the focal point of the living area. A nice lacquered glass center table with a champagne leafing leg in the complemented with light shade upholstery of modern sofas. All the show-pieces are by the renowned decor brand Address Home, the modern chandelier by White Teak, and works of art by various artists from all over India selected by the designer. Bold geometric patterns, vases, sculptures, paintings, and a plethora of other catchy elements are added to give a royal touch to the living area interiors.
DRAWING ROOM
The drawing room boasts of royal and luxury materials used on the floor & walls. Art takes center stage in this classical-influenced space which complements the wall paneling décor with different textures, shapes, and materials. The selected curtains create an eye-soothing décor for this drawing area. Modern sofas and extravagance marble top center table adds charm to the interior décor. While an elegant ceiling design with a modern fan chandelier emphasizes the elegant furnishings.
MANDIR
The white theme of the mandir emits an ambiance of peace and calmness. Engraving of the beautiful peacock’s feather inlay pattern in gold with hints of arches makes the enclosure a perfect space for the idol’s background. The mandir’s door creates a vibe, which is elevated through the intrinsic detailing of a tree pattern jali door catches guests’ attention with antique artifacts.
DINING AREA
The Dining Area plays to the light, giving a cheery ambiance to meal times. The aesthetic wall gives way to a space divider which graciously acts as a partition for private areas. A marble top dining table with a wooden base complemented with the grey upholstery modern wooden chairs. While the selection of consoles and artifacts adds allure to this area. The ceiling design is accentuated with a modern fan chandelier whereas the curtains add royal touch to the dining area.
KITCHEN AREA
The kitchen is planned to be as open and uncluttered as possible, which is just adjacent to the dining area. The shade of the cabinet’s material palette is reflected in the choice of the kitchen’s platform hues. The two different styles of crockery units and cabinets complement each other very well. The high-rise modern service platform and a modern rectangle lighting fixture are eye-catchy elements in this kitchen area. Black elements are used as a highlighter while a white elegant ceiling décor enhances the attraction in this kitchen area.
MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom indeed resembles a kingdom in itself. It has automated curtains
that are operated with a single click. The master bedroom is décored lavishly with a crown shape headboard and an orange curved bench in a contrasting color palette. Side tables with artifacts and an elegant ceiling design accentuated with a modern crystal chandelier. The designer creatively selected the curtains’ material palette, and pillows adding a royal touch to the bedroom.
A modern teak green walk-in closet entrance appeals to an eye-catchy element. Modern wardrobe is highlighted with golden handles. While linear pattern tiles cladded wall in a modern bathroom follows the royal theme of the bedroom. Although the mirror’s light fixture and modern sanitary fittings add charm to the décor.
This bedroom opens up to a den where patches of greenery can be noticed. It has a calming water fountain beside a soothing white-colored Buddha sculpture. This space allows fresh air to enter and connects it to nature in a sophisticated way. In short, the perfect place to chill or meditate after a hectic day. Where clients can relax and enjoy the moments with modern sitting arrangements.
STAIRCASE
Time to rise and shine! which means, going up the staircase. The staircase is the center of attraction of the house with its modern decorative elements. Staircase’s wall is elegantly highlighted with a geometric pattern and abstract cladding tiles with wooden framing paneling. The 3d embossed ceiling design and a modern chandelier give a majestic and luxurious look to the staircase. The designer smartly uses the space under the staircase as a bathroom. It is well decorated with a marble cladded wall. while the washbasin design and stylish mirror add a luxe factor to this bathroom
Upper Lounge
A chic grey zone in the first-floor hall gives the optical illusion of a home chimney,
accompanied by a couple of classic gondola benches. This hall extends to a balcony,
functionally broken by a fancy seating area. The hall connects three rooms—two of the daughters’ and one of the son’s bedrooms.
DAUGHTER’S BEDROOM 1
Daughters’ rooms are a testament to their vibrancy. The splash of color brings life to
the otherwise formal but functional setup. The dressings are however made
quintessential to contemporary fashion. And with all this comes the charm of jazzy
restrooms. A modern headboard and wall paneling with grove patterns adds elegance to the bedroom. A modern circular sitting along with a study table complemented with yellow furniture. The corner shelves are the highlighter of the bedroom interior décor.
A modern walk-in closet area is well ornated with aqua color palette furniture. The brightening dressing area with a curved mirror emphasizes a lighting fixture. While the attached bathroom is well décor with hexagon theme green texture tiles and a mirror. All the elements are complementing each other elegantly with glass partition in the bathroom.
DAUGHTER’S BEDROOM 2
The second daughter’s bedroom is majestic and elegant décor with a light beige and peach palette. The modern leatherette headboard is well-emphasized with a floral decent wallpaper. A beautiful window bay sitting accentuated with a floral theme blind curtain. Wardrobes and shelves are ornated with a peach palette which adds eye-soothing elements to this bedroom.
SON’S BEDROOM
The son’s bedroom although has categorized spaces with an informal and relaxing space by the designer. The white-heightened headboard is highlighted with a rose gold metal color palette belt. While a simple TV unit wall is accentuated with the arched shape shelves gracefully. The ceiling décor and selected curtains add allure to this bedroom.
A minimalist bar with an auto-sliding roof leads straight to a flamboyant Jacuzzi and is attached to the son’s bedroom. A striking piece of wall art inspired by 70s pop culture is represented to match the aesthetics of the space. The room is kept simple to balance out the extra fancy extension of the Bar Jacuzzi.
TERRACE GARDEN
The terrace garden is one of the most peaceful spots in the whole mansion. Covered and surrounded by green, a simple wooden woven outdoor furniture is placed here to offer a natural, undisturbed, and unadulterated aura. Hanging lighting fixtures creates a good ambiance in the area.
The design intent was clear for the villa, as the designer wanted to create spaces that would speak of “Less is not more.” Attention to detail was the path followed and took that built every element present would belong together which add value by its presence. Façade design helps to create interesting light and shadow patterns thereby making the interior spaces livelier. The designer overall effort was to achieve the perfect bonds of practicality and richness of experience. It is ease with soothing tones of textures & materials for exterior and interior. Which also boasts simplicity and elegance of timeless quality.
