The aesthetics, spatial planning, and interior detailing are a direct response to the constraints that revolved around the Vatsal School Of Music project. A 450 sq. ft. Interior space of a music school nested by GreyHatch Architects in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. The design aims to create a stimulating and immersive learning environment for music students of all ages and skill levels. The primary objective was to use every corner of the space and provide dedicated areas, such as the reception and waiting area; the classroom, and lastly the owner’s cabin. Also, to design a visually appealing and aesthetically pleasing environment that promotes creativity and artistic expression.
The Principal Architect shares that the design reads between the lines of subtleness yet timeless design. The design elements and the school’s palette have been chosen to make it stand out yet keep it blended. A custom-designed glass and wooden partition defines the three zones. The shop area of the school stands out separately to grab the attention of the visitors. The selections of lights are carefully handpicked to complement the space’s features and design. The ambiance of the school is not only engaging but also inviting for all.
Reception And Waiting Area
As visitors enter the music school, the signage ‘Vatsal School Of Music’ is emblazoned in brass over a white panel highlighted with grey shade of a wall in the reception area. A contemporary white top reception table complemented with a wooden base and storage unit with black modern chairs. The designer smartly used wooden vinyl flooring which adds movement and contrast to the muted walls of the school. While with the orange palette, the display wall is emphasized with shelves and musical instruments.
All the musical instruments in this area are for sale to their students and visitors. So, the designer designs this shop area of the school which stands out separately to grab the attention of the visitors. The modern lighting fixtures and ceiling décor accentuate this interior space’s ambiance. Black upholstery sofa sitting and pictures of music legends are creating an eye catchy decor complemented by planters. The designer incorporated different textures and materials to add depth and visual interest to the space.
Classroom
A custom-designed glass and wooden partition with black framing defines the contemporary theme in this area. While the designer creatively placed musical instruments on the wall elegantly with geometric eye-soothing patterns. And due to these moldings on the wall along with the wall spots light add a dramatic look to the overall classroom theme. Here, the designer again placed the photographs of music legends to create ambitious surrounding for students. The plain white ceiling décor with lightning fixtures complements light pistachio palette blind curtains. All modern furniture for students and decorative elements creates a decent atmosphere.
The Owner’s Cabin
Again, The owner’s cabin has an elegant ceiling décor that adds refinement to this space. Here, the signature feature is wooden paneling with warm lighting fixtures. Whereas the wall color palette and musical instruments are accentuated with spotlights. A modern white table top and modern black chairs complement each other. Full-height windows add natural light to this cabin which helps to create cheerful surroundings. All the artifacts and planters are emphasizing the interior décor of the cabin. The core intention was to create a space that is eccentric and organized in its design and elements.
Vatsal School Of Music perfectly does justice to the client brief with its uncluttered and energetic outlook. Indeed, a lively space to keep up an amplified work environment all day long. To achieve an elegant look and the wood draws attention to the substantial volume of the furniture. The different styles of chairs and furniture are included in this space as per the client’s requirements. An interplay of textured walls and white superiorly works in instilling that sense of modernity. This provides neatly wrapped-up surfaces that perceptually work as a single entity for the furnishings.
The concept derives a sorted and vibrant interior that appends to using different elements and artifacts. A definite wooden vinyl flooring works in creating a perfect canvas thus holding onto the furniture. The attention to detail, the use of high-quality materials, and the seamless integration of the contemporary theme made this project more elegant. Designers make sure that the interior of this music school décor in such a way that the students feel an energetic environment.
