Modern Classic Home | Infinity Atelier | Kolkata

The modern graceful design lies in its furnishings and thorough decor detailing. This stylish luxury residence is knotted by Infinity Atelier an interior design studio, situated in the heart of central Kolkata’s prime location. Its sprawling 2745 sq. ft., area residential project presents a seamless fusion of modern and traditional elements. Abode amplifies its creative attributes while at the same time enhancing its eye-pleasing beauty and charming spaces.

The Principal Designer, Jyoti A Nahata shares that the client’s desire for distinct aesthetics in each section resulted in a thoughtfully curated, transitional space. This residential haven showcases diverse design elements harmoniously orchestrated into a cohesive and nuanced living space. Every room carries a different chapter in design and era but looks like a part of the same book conveying a transitional story. This meticulous approach results in a space that exudes both humour and beauty, reflecting the creator’s unique vision and design sensibility.

FOYER

Bold articulative decor narrates this inside story in a nutshell right from the entrance foyer. It is a decorative intermediate space that amalgamates modern with eclectic stylishness. An eye-soothing wooden relaxing chair with a tropical print upholstery in silken fabric. The classic console table emphasizes subtle carvings that complement traditional creativity. Contrasting cream wooden moulded wall ornamentation along with a masterpiece of art, a Pichwai painting in golden hue framed, its intricacy and visual splendour allure the foyer décor with crystal lighting fixtures on the ceiling and wall.

LIVING AREA

With an unobstructed view of the city’s high-rises, the decision to omit a partition between the Den and the main living area preserves the breathtaking panorama. The living area features a blend of carefully sourced pieces, including a large Pichwai painting, intricately carved furniture, and a Chesterfield sofa. The Den exudes a more modern, clean look with glass accents, and leather sofas keeping it relaxed and soft. – Added by The Principal Designer.

The idea of mixing Western and Eastern sensibilities and carving a unique space is the essence of the living area. The interior theme is playing with a rhyme to neutrality, covering the room in a soothing embrace. The line work is clean & straight-line, with well-designed wooden art deco detailing that can be seen on the walls which complements the flooring, and decor detailing. The furniture & lighting express a strong presence – bold & impactful lending to the overall feel of the space. The selected artefacts and decorative essentials highlight and accentuate each element.

Soft neutral tones of sofas and dark wooden elements of the living room build a sense of serenity. Finishing the ensemble is the polycoat polished centre table, crowned with a marble top that radiates opulence. The modern TV unit wall ornamentation with glass accents adds to the overall glam quotient of the living space. To attain the atrocities of modern wooden ceiling design finish in a geometric pattern marks the grand look through its eye-pleasing look.

DINING AREA

Attractive miniature to appreciate the beautiful cabinetry and perfectly merged dining and kitchen area. A fusion of boldness, modern and luxury elements adorn with warm tones and geometric patterns. The dining area showcases a handcrafted table with semi-precious stone inlay work, complemented by modern wood chairs with subtle wood carvings.

The luxury marble top dining table with art deco quirky designs touches everyone’s heart. The in-trend bronze tinted mirrors are used to fashion the entire home which visually expands space and also integrates the room with an abundance of glamour. The warm ceiling lights complement the elegant shine of the room. The dark wooden wall likes to balance with light panelling walls and a white console unit.

POOJA AREA

The mandir is ornated by a natural stone white marble with an artistic pearl inlay in this elegant pooja area. The drawers for storage are lavished with embossed effects in a pearl-white colour palette. Selected lighting fixtures on the ceiling give it elegance and cleanliness. Its tranquil and calming aesthetics make time joyous and full of peace.

MASTER BEDROOM

The Master bedroom is ornated in a contemporary theme with a marble-paneled wall, dark rich veneer furniture, and meticulous detailing. The master bedroom for the couple is delightful with natural light and glossy marble texture flooring finishes. The highlighter bed’s wall that well accentuates with a hexagon pattern headrest.

To add vibrancy and a little jazzy vibe, a TV unit wall décor with an eye-soothing wallpaper adds allure to the bedroom decor. Floral curtains and a modern TV console in a light colour palate add elegance to the interior theme. Whereas, the attached bathroom is well ornated with dark marble cladding walls with modern storage units. While lighting fixtures and modern sanitary fittings add charm to the bathroom interior décor.

DAUGHTER’S Bedroom

The daughter’s bedroom has been adorned with pastel shades, allowing for creative exploration of colours. This aesthetic bedroom was a combination of white, pastel green and pastel pink colour palate. Sage green and pastel pink walls provide a serene backdrop against white furniture, evoking a whimsical and visually engaging aesthetic reminiscent of Wes Anderson’s style. Keeping it minimal, this room was focused on highlighting the upholstery and wall decor of the space.

The use of green colour in the furniture like side tables, wardrobes and even window-bay sitting with storage allowed the space to follow similar language. Careful attention to detail is evident throughout, with beading work delicately applied to the almirah and grooving meticulously crafted on the walls. The placement of the study table beside the bed in white was so done that it acted as a reflective element in the space, making the area look bigger. The use of colour in fabrics and wallpaper allowed to form an elegance in the room.

SON’S BEDROOM

The son’s room is meticulously themed in Mid-Century European style, featuring a tasteful combination of blue, brown, and white hues. This Accented Son’s bedroom was a combination to look for that caught everyone’s attention. Dark Royal blue bed back to lacquer finish walls, everything was worth admiring. The wall language to the amalgamation of colours juxtaposes the theme of the whole house.

The wall pictures on the main wall and a brown leatherette headboard highlight the colours of the room. The modern sliding wardrobe with lighting fixtures and study area with shelves which is highlighted with selected artefacts complement the bedroom décor. The pop-up elements like study chairs and blind curtains add charm to this interior space.

BAR AREA

Socializing in this classic home bar is décor in a pleasant way to adorn the better things in life. With a unique design of brass handles that evoke vintage French storage units, balanced with the well-designed blend of dark blue and golden hues, it displays elegance. With an eye-pleasing aesthetic decor with luxury malachite coasters adorned with gold-plated brass edging completing the look with contemporary gold tableware and decor. Bar area carries a different chapter in design and era but looks like a part of the same book conveying a transitional story.

Overall, the interior flair for the apartment is a trendy fusion of styles, with spaces expressing the individual personality of the users tied together with a common thread of opulence. A hint of grooves and vertical lines run throughout the entire apartment in various forms to achieve a sense of height and a seamless look. Theclassy taste played a key role in articulating the house with pretty elements. Here, the story unveiling the beauty of a design is merely a juxtaposition of modern and classic, giving a feel of subtle elegance. The key was to design a modern house with a classic touch.
