NB – V8 Residence | Stance Spaces | Bangalore
The Principal Designer, Saood Shariff shares that the narrative of designing this space centred around the client’s collection of intricate artefacts and timeless masterpieces accumulated through the years. At Stance Spaces, we catalogued this collection and designed nooks and niches throughout the house with specific consideration for them.
The villa’s exterior boasts a sophisticated palette of grey and white, creating a timeless and elegant facade. The lush greenery surrounding the property complements this color scheme beautifully, adding a touch of natural serenity and blending harmoniously with the architectural design, creating a captivating visual harmony.
As you enter this 4-bedroom house, the space unravels with a large Foyer unit housing many of the artefacts. Like this unit, most of the interior is designed with subtle shades of white and beige with natural teak finish surfaces, adding depth to the space. Glass in the form of mirrors, tones, and fluted patterns was widely employed throughout the house and was extensively used in different areas of the house. In terms of the material aspect, the marble floors subtly dominated the majority of the area, fitting in perfectly with wooden components and giving each room a unique touch of colour based on the needs of the family members.
LIVING ROOM
The vibrant living room, with its well-chosen furnishings and décor, opened to a large private backyard, adding tranquillity to the home. The main backdrop wall is finished with a customized marble texture paint. Modern cushioned sofas with sleek wooden bases elevate your living room with contemporary style and comfort, complemented by a wooden center table. The addition of antique artifacts infuses timeless charm, character, and elegance into the interior space, creating a captivating blend of old-world allure and modern sophistication.
BACK GARDEN
A back garden adjacent to the living area creates a seamless indoor-outdoor connection, enhancing the space with natural beauty and tranquillity. This setup invites relaxation and outdoor activities, providing a refreshing retreat right outside the comfort of your home, perfect for gatherings and moments of serenity.
DINING AREA
The dining area near the foyer features a stunning wooden dining table, adding a touch of warmth and elegance to the space. Its strategic placement allows for easy access and creates a welcoming atmosphere for dining and entertaining, making it a focal point of the home’s entryway.
KITCHEN
The earthy wood tones continued throughout the kitchen, providing a similar level of comfort as one moved through the area. Wooden cabinets and a white platform define the kitchen’s interior, blending natural warmth with a clean, contemporary aesthetic. This combination creates a balanced and inviting space, where functionality meets style seamlessly, making it a delightful area for culinary endeavors and gatherings.

FAMILY ROOM
The family room and its attached sit-out area on the first floor served as spaces for artwork and the heritage furniture and accents collection. This thoughtful arrangement transforms these spaces into a captivating blend of cultural richness and aesthetic delight for residents and guests alike.
BALCONY
The villa’s balcony is a serene oasis adorned with a swing, chairs, and lush greenery. This tranquil space invites relaxation and contemplation, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling world. Surrounded by verdant plants, it provides a perfect spot for unwinding and enjoying nature’s beauty right at home.
MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom at the same level had a wooden back panelling with crisp linear grooves that culminated in a curved storage unit at the southwest corner. In contrast, a combination wardrobe and display unit made of wood, glass, and paint was in the other corner of the space. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious walk-in wardrobe, providing ample space for organizing and displaying clothing and accessories in style.
This functional and elegant feature enhances the bedroom’s convenience and adds a touch of sophistication to the overall design. The modern bathroom features sleek fixtures and luxurious amenities, creating a spa-like retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation.
SON’S BEDROOM
The son’s bedroom was on the upper level, where the designer added a pop of blue to the fabrics to go with the wood elements’ continuity. By creating a TV unit in the adjacent home theatre room that is not only for viewing but also provides ample area for the numerous interesting items that the client may eventually gather. The window bay sitting area is enhanced by blind curtains, offering privacy and ambience control while creating a cosy nook for relaxation or reading.
CHIC BEDROOM
In a modern classic bedroom, a guitar adorns the wall, complemented by wooden furniture like a console unit and study table. This blend of modernity and timeless charm creates a harmonious ambiance with bed’s headrest design. The warm wood tones add a touch of natural elegance, enhancing the room’s sophistication while the guitar serves as a unique and personal decor element, reflecting the occupant’s musical passion.
GUEST BEDROOM
The guest bedroom boasts a modern wooden bed, wardrobe, and study table, creating a cozy and functional space. Warm lighting fixtures add a welcoming ambiance, enhancing comfort and relaxation. The blend of wood tones and contemporary design elements offers a stylish and inviting retreat for guests, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay.
HOME THEATER ROOM
The home theater room features a wooden TV unit paneling and elegant wooden flooring, creating a luxurious and inviting entertainment space. The showcase unit with warm lighting fixtures add a touch of sophistication and warmth, enhancing the cinematic experience. This harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality makes the room a perfect haven for immersive viewing and pleasant with selected artefacts.

In the heart of Bangalore, Stance Spaces design firm, led by Saood Shariff, embarked on a design journey to create a stunning 4BHK Bungalow spanning 3000 sq. ft., amalgamating modernist aesthetics with luxury and comfort for the NB – V8 residence. The vision was clear that each corner and interior space would be a distinct expression of utility and style. Balancing monochrome with warm wood tones, the furniture was carefully curated to offer both relaxation and visual appeal, with its soft and smooth hues.
The rhythmic elevation of the bungalow, treating each facade differently yet in perfect harmony, sets a striking tone. Inside, an airy modern layout welcomes you, adorned with bespoke furniture like modern-styled sofas, wall panelling, and cladding that complement one another seamlessly. Thoughtfully selected curtains, furnishings, and artefacts add a positive ambience to the interior decor, while eye-soothing upholstery and plush cushioning create a sense of softness and comfort throughout the space. The warm lighting fixtures add a final touch of elegance, completing the exquisite ambience of this residence.
