Equora | Studio Sa.Ba | Bangalore

Equora is an office space envisioned as a seamless blend of form, function, and feeling.

The entire office is anchored in a subdued grey palette that sets a neutral yet emotive tone. These cool-toned walls provide a soft backdrop, allowing materiality and spatial flow to take the lead. Warmth is introduced through custom wood joinery, soft-toned furnishings, and subtle metallic details that bring depth without excess. Brushed brass accents, and textured textiles create a layered richness that balances restraint with visual interest.

Spatially, Equora is designed with intent. The plan integrates openness and privacy, with fluid transitions between collaborative zones, meeting rooms, and focus areas. There is a continuous interplay between enclosure and exposure, allowing teams to move intuitively through the space. Curved furniture forms and soft-edged partitions break away from the rigidity often found in office environments, fostering a more organic, human-centered rhythm.

Lighting is a crucial design element—natural light floods in through generous openings, complemented by thoughtfully placed ambient and task lighting that shifts with the rhythm of the day. The subdued palette and materials act as quiet reflectors, enhancing the sense of spaciousness and tranquility.

Minimal yet expressive, every corner of Equora speaks to Studio Saba’s philosophy: that great design is not just about what is seen, but what is experienced. More than just an office, Equora becomes a spatial narrative—one that encourages calm focus, nurtures creativity, and reflects the evolving nature of the modern workplace. It is a space that doesn’t demand attention, but earns it through quiet intention, refined detailing, and timeless elegance.

Interior Lover Team’s view on the project

Located on Race Course Road in Bangalore, Equora is a 1500 sq. ft. office space that reflects Studio Sa.Ba’s refined yet grounded design philosophy. Led by principal designers Chehel Mehta and Meghal Mehta, the interiors strike a calm balance between elegance and ease. The space unfolds in soft grey tones that feel quiet and composed, allowing textures and finishes to take centre stage. Touches of brass and fine metallic hints add a gentle shimmer, while warm wood elements lend a sense of comfort and familiarity to the otherwise muted setting.

Studio Sa.Ba’s approach brings a sense of softness and flow to the interiors. Edges are rounded, surfaces are smooth, and every detail feels considered without being showy. The furniture is crafted to feel inviting and timeless, chosen for both its form and feel. Lighting plays a key role, with sunlight filling the space during the day and layered lighting creating a warm glow as evening sets in. Equora doesn’t rely on bold statements—instead, it builds atmosphere through simplicity, detail, and emotion. It is a quiet, thoughtful workspace that gently inspires clarity, connection, and creativity.
