This residence in Chengannur, Kerala showcases classic luxury within its elegantly landscaped exterior. The client wanted a classic, elegant yet functional home where cross-ventilation and maintenance of privacy were to play a vital role. Our team translated their vision into a luxurious bungalow in a 2.5 acres plot surrounded by dense vegetation. At the entrance, the guests are treated by sprawling lawns dotted with native flowering and greenery with astounding sculptures sitting within it. A gazebo inspired by the dreamy English gardens stands at the edge of the lawn. The stone cladding crafts a classy look into the façade.
While keeping things elegant, simple, functional and practical, the interior injects enough style using handpicked quality accessories. Provided double heighted staircase opening up to a sky light above and a beautifully landscaped courtyard below, thus creating a sense of space and grandeur in the interiors. The master bedroom harbor’s a private courtyard space kept aloof from the rest of the house for a calm and serene experience. The simple and elegant interiors of the prayer room are a way to heaven. The upper floor has all the private spaces for a family to spend a quality time from a library to a modern theatre room, Terrace garden.
The piece de Resistance is the flamboyantly designed green courtyard that sits in the centre of the house, illuminated by the natural sunlight received from the overhead skylight.The central courtyard separates the more private spaces from the formal spaces meant for guests. We have tried to bring a connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Every space in the residence is connected to a green space. It is an oasis of calm and peace for the inhabitants and creates a dramatic escape from the busy life.
