Auris Serenity Tower | Newtech Design Studio | Mumbai
A minimalist design concept is reflected not only in the furniture design but in the mood and the color palette used throughout the apartment. This modern-eclectic residence was ornated by the well-known architectural design firm Newtech Design Studio. This is a 2 BHK apartment with an 800 sq. ft. area, in a high-rise building in Auris Serenity Tower 2, Malad west, Mumbai designed in such a way as to create a luxurious homeyet precedent to the utility. The house is designed considering the client’s requirements and Lifestyle.
The Principal Architect Purva Gosalia shares that the client envisioned a new house to be a shelter of comfort. They desired to have a cozy, comfortable interior with simple, yet vibrant and bold interiors. Play with colors on fabric and furnishings to add a subtle and elegant taste. The color palette is used throughout the apartment, which boosts the size of the apartment. Fabrics in pastel shades add a pop of color, accentuating the neutral scheme as well as texture and layers to the palette, exuding a plush appearance.
FOYER
The first impression, as they say, is the last impression. This elegant apartment welcomes visitors to the world with a stylishly designed foyer tastefully created using wall art and geometric patterns. And to ensure that it gets that flawless finish to a grand entrance with a foyer leading to equally stunning rooms. A beautiful console unit and a painting on the life of a tree create an eye-catchy décor.
LIVING ROOM
A step inside the apartment interiors invites the vibrant ambiance with an elegant living room having a classic-modern interior with pastel shades of color palettes complementing geometric patterns on walls. A modern velvet upholstery sofa and a royal armchair accentuate the classic center table. A simple TV unit console is highlighted in dual tone and artifacts. While a vintage-theme rug, wall painting with a golden frame, and light fixtures add charm to the living area. The selection of curtains and all other elements by the designer enhances the elegance of the space.
DINING AREA
The thoughtful extension of the living into the dining area makes this common space more interesting by retaining their respective character. The décor for the dining area keeps simple and elegant with an accent wall while the unique design of the wall clock adds grace to the space. A marble-top dining table with golden hints complements the royal chairs. The ceiling décor kept sober and elegant which creates a good ambiance in the dining area.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is simple in two tones of dark turquoise blue and light shade. The servo drive overhead cabinets, the crockery unit with warm light fixtures, and the cabinets beneath the platform have been designed to serve with ease and comfort for the client. The use of symmetrical tiles on the wall as well as the marble texture platform makes the kitchen look seamless and blends with the overall color scheme. On one side a small temple was placed with traditional touch. The temple is positioned such that it is not the first element to catch your eye when you walk in, but it also acts as a focal point for the space.
MASTER BEDROOM
Both bedrooms have their distinct characteristics to display. The master bedroom is all light shade with a harmoniously complimenting royal touch. The wallpaper with its unique texture spans throughout the length of the bed wall serving as an amazing elegant backdrop with white paneling. A royal bed design compliments the wardrobe décor in a dual tone. The dressing area is well-highlighted with a full-length mirror and a modern light fixture. An elegant ceiling and all other elements accentuate the theme of the space gracefully.
SECOND BEDROOM
The second bedroom is classic yet modern. This interior space is different from the rest of the house, with a calming mood for the ‘young at heart’ person who is to occupy the bedroom. Though the room is all light color shades, the gorgeous white paneling on the bed’s wall with some geometrical lines adds texture with an oomph effect. A modern royal blue corner bed and an eye-catchy wardrobe with the same theme of wall paneling complimenting the pendant light fixture. While wooden flooring and other décor elements add allure to this bedroom.
Summing up to a classic-modern vibrant theme, initially, it was challenging to pick the right shade of color palette since pastel tone was the main color to be used majorly. But with careful planning, it all came together as the blend of other furniture, upholstery, and furnishings blended well with selected shades! The lighting fixtures are developed and merged with the language of an interior and create a luxurious factor. Add to that the textured wallpaper, a clutter-free look, and have the perfect tailormade apartment’s interior to cherish.
