Nestled in Pune’s lively Koregaon Park, The Cozy Nook is a captivating abode thoughtfully designed for a young couple returning to their roots after 12 years in London. This corner duplex house with 1500 sq. ft of living space and a generous 1000 sq. ft. L-shaped outdoor area offers a harmonious blend of privacy, tranquillity, and verdant beauty reminiscent of their London home.
The design’s refined aesthetic extends to common elements like brass strip skirting, painted brick panels, and vintage-style switches, adding rustic allure to the ambiance. Tailor-made contemporary wooden doors further enhance the homely feeling.
Inside, the dwelling reflects the couple’s journey and cherished experiences, fostering seamless connections between family and friends in shared spaces like the inviting living, dining, and kitchen area. The open kitchen, stylishly integrated with modern appliances and adorned with blue upholstery, creates a sense of modernism.
Up the woody stairs, the bedrooms exude distinctive charm. The master suite is an old-world allure with a magnificent four-poster bed, a spacious bathroom, and a walk-in wardrobe. The luxurious bathtub in the bathroom offers relaxation and breathtaking views of the green surroundings outside.
The Guest bedroom has been given a minimalistic and simplistic style for welcoming guests with every mood and taste. Opulent bathrooms throughout the residence continue the theme of luxury, with smooth granite flooring and custom-made washbasins crafted from pristine white marble and embedded with copper strips.
Beyond the walls, the outdoor space turns The Cozy Nook into an oasis amid the bustling cityscape. With the presence of a classic Jamie Oliver wood-fired pizza oven, the couple’s love for fine cuisine shines, making the garden a versatile and delightful entertainment area for weekend brunches, birthday parties, and gatherings with friends.
Thus, the ancient adage, “home is where the heart is,” finds its perfect embodiment in The Cozy Nook, where this enchanting haven captures not only the essence of a captivating story but the very hearts of those who dwell within.
Interior Lover Team’s view on the Project
A contemporary residence design with lots of wow elements within. The idea was to create a homely environment that is comfortable yet stylish. Therefore, each corner of the house is designed to make it very comfortable and satisfactory but also luxurious and aesthetically pleasing. With a 1500 sq. ft. area and a generous 1000 sq. ft L-shaped outdoor area, ‘The Cozy Nook’ bungalow design in Koregaon Park-Pune is well knotted by Idealize Design.
The material palette comprised neutral colours with an intent of seamlessly blending them and this similarity of colours was broken down by using materials of varying textures. Each area was designed with an earthy feel, comfy furniture, in-direct lighting fixtures and proper furnishings elements that make optimum utilisation of the space thereby making the room full of satisfaction. The overall design intends to materialize the client’s personality by understanding their everyday needs and trends in lifestyle. The aim was to transform this space into a unique & bespoke residence with a gleam of opulence.
