Timeless Grandeur | Windchym Dezign | Delhi
Transforming a 600-square-yard space in Vasant Vihar, Delhi, the client’s vision was a welcoming, cosy home with a traditional and classical theme. The project, Timeless Grandeur, was executed by Windchym Dezign, led by the principal designer Surbhi Nandrajog. The renovation and redesign project transformed the space into a timeless, grand home. The design harmonises contrasting elements with a spiritual essence, infusing classical elegance.
The Principal Designer shares that the classical interior features balanced, symmetrical designs, with rich, sophisticated fabrics like silk, velvet, linen, and cotton mesh complementing wooden or marble flooring. Opulent curtains, textured fabrics, and subtle patterns enhance the classical ambience. The furniture, characterized by comfort, turned legs, and skirts, showcases intricate wooden carvings and nature-inspired detailing.
Entrance
The residence entrance features a stunning wooden carved main door adorned with an antique handle, making it an eye-catching focal point. A gorgeous marble Shreenathji panel graces the entrance wall, which is surrounded by an embossed marble cow border, adding a divine and elegant touch to the space. This beautifully crafted entryway seamlessly blends artistry and spirituality, welcoming guests with a timeless sense of grace.
Upon entering, guests are captivated by the grand piano, while the elegant glass partition framed in rich wood seamlessly divides the space, adding both sophistication and structure. A Rajasthani-style multicolour bench and handcrafted artefacts add vibrant cultural touches. The warm wooden ceiling complements the interior décor while a Tree of Life metal art installation at the corridor’s end evokes harmony and creates a serene atmosphere.
Living Area
The living area exudes warmth with its modern ceiling design and a charming wooden swing nestled in one corner, inviting relaxation. Modern sofas with golden accents contrast elegantly against a glass-top wooden central table, which serves as a refined focal point in the space. A magnificent artistic painting adorns the wall, while an idol of Lord Ganesh is placed gracefully on a vintage-style wooden console unit. Completing the space, a shloka painting and a dazzling crystal chandelier add a touch of spiritual and regal grandeur, blending tradition with contemporary elegance.
Dining Area
The designer elegantly added a captivating focal point with a spiritual mural featuring Nandi in the dining space and wall acoustic décor complementing each other. The modern vintage-style wooden dining table with a marble top and royal-style dining chairs creates a pleasing surrounding. Two wooden console units showcase exquisite artefacts, enhancing the room’s sophisticated charm.
This powder room features a vintage mirror paired with an elegant storage unit, seamlessly integrating classic charm into the space. Marble cladding on the walls adds a luxurious touch, while warm lighting fixtures create a soft, inviting glow. Golden accents throughout the design enhance the space’s elegance, making it both stylish and sophisticated.
Family Lounge Area
The family lounge area, an inviting space that brings family members together, is elegantly divided by a glass wooden-framing partition. A modern L-shaped sofa anchors the room, complemented by an eye-catching painting and a wooden console unit for the TV wall. The wooden leaf-pattern ceiling fan and a stylish centre table complement the interior setting. Earthy tones used throughout lend a timeless elegance, evoking warmth and sophistication, making the space a truly harmonious gathering spot.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom features a classic modern wooden bed paired with a curved couch and leatherette seating, blending elegance and comfort seamlessly. A vintage-style side table complements the room’s charm, while a huge console unit with golden accents adds a touch of luxury. The classic wardrobe and stylish dressing area enhance functionality with contemporary flair. This sophisticated design creates a serene retreat, combining classic elements with modern sophistication.
The washroom echoes the bedroom’s theme with its vintage mirror and golden accents, offering a seamless blend of elegance. Marble cladding on the walls and warm lighting fixtures further enhance the space’s timeless charm.
Kid’s Bedroom
The kid’s bedroom features an L-shaped tufted bed with plush light-tone upholstery, complemented by a sleek beige upholstery sofa. An elegant pastel-toned study table and chair add a touch of refinement, while a beige accent wall enhances the room’s serene atmosphere. The combination of textures and tones creates a calm, inviting space perfect for relaxation and focus.
The attached washroom offers an eye-soothing retreat with its subtle hues and modern fixtures. Soft lighting and clean lines enhance the space’s tranquillity, while luxurious marble detailing adds a touch of elegance. The overall design provides a serene and refreshing experience.
Chic Classic Bedroom
The chic classic bedroom features a distinctive rattan work theme on the bed’s headrest, adding a touch of natural elegance. A classic dressing mirror adds a touch of timeless elegance to the space, serving as both a functional and decorative element. The modern wardrobe offers sleek functionality, balancing the room’s aesthetic with style. This blend of classic and contemporary elements creates a stylish and inviting space.
The attached washroom continues the theme with sleek, modern fixtures and a soothing colour palette. Elegant lighting and clean lines ensure a tranquil ambience, while high-quality materials add a refined touch to the space.
