Located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, BYC is a 3600 sq. ft. space designed with a clear vision: to be a launchpad for students’ futures. The design centres around purposeful spatial planning, combining flexibility, inspiration, and efficiency. Green Heads Consultants transformed this concept into a dynamic, functional environment, executing the project from start to finish with a comprehensive approach. From a 16-person workstation to soundproof counselling rooms and flexible seminar spaces, every detail reflects the goal of nurturing growth and fostering success.
According to the Green Head’s team philosophy the design process was driven by the need to create a space that not only facilitates professional growth but also inspires ambition. They emphasised that each element, from the custom pencil-shaped wall to the BYC signature bookshelf, was carefully crafted to promote collaboration, focus, and creativity. The flexible design accommodates the diverse needs of students while reinforcing the brand’s identity through thoughtful design choices like the BYC logo-inspired door handles.
The entrance exudes professionalism with clean lines, warm wood tones, and vibrant branding. The BYC logo and signage establish a strong identity, while the glass doors provide transparency and invite curiosity. The neat, organised layout sets a welcoming tone, subtly reinforcing the space’s role as a future-focused environment. A recessed ceiling detail with concealed lighting adds depth and visual interest to the entryway.
The reception blends earthy textures with modern finishes, using brick cladding and sleek surfaces to welcome visitors. A warm lighting palette highlights the brand logo, while the desk design integrates form and function. This zone seamlessly manages flow while projecting BYC’s ethos—professional, approachable, and student-centric—right from the first point of contact.
The waiting area is thoughtfully designed for comfort and motivation. Curved seating softens the space, while inspirational wall text— “Follow Your Dreams”—sets an aspirational tone. Framed certificates add authenticity, creating a sense of achievement and confidence. The muted colour palette promotes calmness while supporting the counselling centre’s nurturing environment.
The open-plan workstation features collaborative desks, natural light, and biophilic elements like hanging plants. Pops of blue on accent walls and lockers energise the space. Thoughtful spatial zoning ensures productivity while the integration of motivational graphics and privacy partitions subtly encourages focus, creativity, and ease of movement across departments. Low-height partitions and cubicles with cork and felt finishes allow personalisation without visual clutter.
This informal seating zone with integrated bookshelves and a chessboard invites mental breaks and casual collaboration. Upholstered in soft hues, it doubles as both a reading corner and an interactive lounge. The design encourages cognitive refreshment within a professional context, supporting wellness and balance in the fast-paced, informative environment.
Individual counselling cabins are visually defined with illustrated frosted films and labelled doors. Their adjacency to the open office fosters accessibility while maintaining privacy. The corridor leading to these cabins is well-lit and animated with art panels, enhancing approachability and ensuring a youthful, encouraging atmosphere for one-on-one mentoring sessions.
The corridor is emphasised as a dynamic zone with seating that integrates storage. Cushioned tops in funky tones make it inviting, while built-in niches offer utility. This multifunctional furniture line bridges zones and supports informal or formal gatherings, or simply a pause in motion, ensuring every inch of the space is purposeful.
The conference room stands out with a custom BYC bookshelf that doubles as a striking focal point. Ergonomic chairs, a large wooden table, and ambient lighting ensure comfort and productivity. The design balances professionalism and creativity, encouraging focused discussions while reinforcing the brand’s identity through curated spatial and visual elements.
This multifunctional space adapts effortlessly between training sessions and seminars. Neutral walls with terrazzo-inspired accents and modular chairs reflect a youthful, professional ethos. Framed by glass enclosures and built-in storage units, the room features subtle palette curtains, supporting digital presentations, open discussions, and spatial flexibility for varied gatherings.
A minimalist yet dignified space, this MD cabin uses crisp geometry and a linear desk to reflect authority with openness. Natural light, a clean blue-backed chair, and sleek pendant lighting accentuate its professional tone. Vertical wood panelling subtly anchors the space, offering warmth and definition without overwhelming the compact layout. A full-height fluted glass partition balances transparency and acoustic privacy.
Blending formality with creative warmth, this MD cabin features exposed wood rafters and a distinctive fluted panelling. The angled desk and layered material palette project modern leadership while ensuring comfort. A teal-backed chair adds vibrance, and thoughtful detailing like open shelves balances storage with a relaxed yet focused work setting.
Counselling rooms foster empathy and openness with pastel geometric graphics and expansive outdoor views. Natural light filters gently across the space, enhancing comfort for personal conversations. A circular table supports equal dialogue, while minimal décor and calm hues ensure an uncluttered, soothing setting suited for confidential mentoring and demonstrative engagement.
The cafeteria adds vibrancy to the space with colourful wall art and playful graphics. Industrial-style lighting and a mix of seating options create an informal, café-like feel. It’s designed as a relaxed hub for interaction and reflection, fostering a sense of community among the BYC staff and mentors over a cup of coffee. The rustic grey exposed ceiling with black gridwork enhances the casual, open-plan aesthetic.
The result is a cohesive architectural narrative that blends form and function seamlessly. BYC stands as a place where students can explore, connect, and chart their paths forward. The design ensures a dynamic, adaptable space that evolves with the needs of its users, while maintaining a strong brand presence throughout. This well-thought-out environment is not just a workspace but a motivational hub for students embarking on their future journeys.
