R K Interio, an interior finishes material showroom | Eureka Design | Pune
R K Interio is envisioned as a contemporary landmark within the evolving urban fabric of Pimpri-Chinchwad. Defined by clean lines, vertical precision, and a restrained material palette, the building establishes a composed yet distinctive identity. Conceived to move beyond the conventional hardware store aesthetic, the showroom reimagines retail as a refined and immersive experience—warm, approachable, and intuitive, while efficiently accommodating a wide range of products.

The façade is articulated through metal louvers that introduce rhythm, depth, and climatic responsiveness, strengthening the building’s street presence. A double-height glazed frontage enhances transparency and visual continuity, seamlessly connecting the interior with the public realm. Balanced massing, subtle landscaping, and carefully framed edges soften the built form, allowing it to integrate thoughtfully with its surroundings while contributing to the area’s emerging architectural character.

A layered entrance sequence guides visitor from the street into the showroom. Stone steps set within pebble beds create a tactile, grounded approach, while lush planting softens the architectural edges. Above, a pergola and perforated metal screen filter light and shadow, adding depth, movement, and a distinct sense of arrival.

The design is rooted in the idea of familiarity—creating a showroom that feels welcoming and almost residential in character, while efficiently maximizing display potential. As a hardware and interior finishes showroom, the interiors adopt a neutral and restrained palette, allowing the products to remain the focal point rather than competing with the design.

The planning emphasizes clarity, intuitive movement, and a seamless display sequence, enabling visitors to navigate through the space effortlessly. In contrast to conventional hardware retail environments that often prioritize density over experience, the design carefully balances functionality with spatial quality, creating an environment that is both practical and immersive.

Design Process
Visitors are welcomed by a bold vertical display installation composed of oak-paneled modules framed in matte black metal. Elongated hardware handles in varied finishes are arranged with gallery-like precision, creating rhythm and depth. Integrated track lighting accentuates the textures and metallic finishes, transforming functional hardware into curated exhibits.

The showroom unfolds along a strong linear axis, establishing a clear and intuitive circulation path. Warm wood surfaces contrast with charcoal vertical fins, while muted grey flooring anchors the composition, allowing metallic finishes such as brass, bronze, chrome, and matte black to emerge as sculptural elements.

At the heart of the space, the discussion table acts as a sculptural focal point. Crafted in rich wood veneer and anchored by a seamless stone top that appears to float, it balances solidity with elegance through slender glass supports. Behind it, a faceted wooden feature wall creates subtle depth through shifting light and shadow.

The staircase, finished in wood with sleek railings, becomes both a functional connector and a visual feature. Beneath it, a waiting lounge with warm tan leather seating introduces comfort.

The material palette remains restrained—wood, charcoal, muted stone, brass, and accents of teal—allowing craftsmanship and texture to take precedence over ornamentation. Concealed lighting, layered volumes, and seamless detailing create a spatial experience that feels both intimate and expansive.

A double-height volume further elevates the interior experience, with suspended wooden members forming a rhythmic ceiling installation that draws the eye upward and emphasizes verticality. Linear pendant lights introduce a contemporary edge, while expansive glazing fills the interiors with natural light. The visual connection to landscaped greens softens the built environment, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior.

The mezzanine level is conceived as a more focused and experience-driven zone, housing a dedicated discussion space alongside curated sections for veneer selection, laminates, and modular furniture. This floor encourages more personalized interaction, allowing clients to engage with materials and configurations in a calmer and more intimate setting.

Expansive glazing brings in abundant natural light and visually extends the interiors toward landscaped edges of tropical greens and stone beds. The resulting transparency softens the boundary between architecture and nature, introducing calmness and warmth into the retail environment.

Balancing efficiency with experience, R K Interio transforms a typically utilitarian retail format into a design-forward destination—where architecture, materiality, and display come together to create a space that is both functional and inspiring.
